We're all terrorists now pt 534

Well, it's been a busy old week for the Guardian's home affairs editor Alan Travis

On Tuesday he wrote an article which revealed that...

"A Whitehall counter-terrorism unit is targeting the BBC and other media organisations as part of a new global propaganda push designed to "taint the al-Qaida brand", according to a secret Home Office paper seen by the Guardian."

(Lord Patel has already posted on this story and whilst the news is not particularly surprising it is depressing to see confirmation that there are publicly-funded astrotrufing twunts out there who think in terms of brands rather than ideologies - the same kind of bloodless sociopathic twunts who started the Al Qaida 'brand' in the first place)

And last Thursday Alan wrote an absolute corker which revealed that

"MI5 has concluded that there is no easy way to identify those who become involved in terrorism in Britain, according to a classified internal research document on radicalisation seen by the Guardian."

The classified report concludes that domestic Islamic Terrorists are...

- not religious (!?)
- not mental
- not stupid
- ethnically diverse

In fact, the only thing they all appear to have in common is that they have shit jobs

There's no reason to think that MI5 are leaking this stuff to Alan simply because he's a nice guy. So, it's only sensible to conclude that there are some twisted, Machiavellian reasons for doing so

In the case of the terrorist profiling story it would seem to be just another step in the process of gradually expanding the public perception of what constitutes a terrorist to include anyone with a loose tongue who's fucked off with the state of the country and has a shit job - which by this time next year should cover about 20 or 30 million people

There's the distinct possibility of a class war looming on the horizon and virtually everyone is going to be invited

And even though the terrorist profiling story is deliberately leaked Mi5 bollocks, it's still a slap in the face for all the supposedly left wing and progressive commentators and bloggers out there who have been faithfully parroting any old establishment crap about the nature of the TERROR threat whilst posturing as legitimate opposition to that establishment

All in all, a handy little link to refer to next time you encounter some twunt posing as a passionate opponent of the encroachment on our civil liberties, whilst at the same time putting the boot into Muslims for somehow being responsible for all the shit that's going down

Stand Down Margaret/ Tony/ Gordon/ David

These are interesting days over at
The Guardian's 'Comment is Free' site

First there was Charlton Brooker's smug and excruciatingly unfunny piece on 9/11 Conspiraloons which drew 1,778 warmly appreciative comments in next to no time...

And now there's David Milliband's equally smug, but slightly funnier (unintentionally) piece, on why the Labour Government isn't really an unholy incarnation of Pure Evil...

...743 adoring comments and counting

Forget about oil and gas shortages, if things carry on like this we'll reach Peak Tinfoil long before the hydrocarbons run out

Though, in fairness, there was a division of opinion between Loon and Anti-Loon in the comments underneath the 9/11 article

No such division of opinion underneath the Milliband piece

Everyone is fucked off with David and the Labour Party

Even members of the Labour Party

The penny has finally dropped

It would seem that calls to support the Labour Party, however wicked its actions, simply because it isn't the Conservative Party just won't cut it any more

which makes for an interesting situation

Even in their worst days, previous fucked up administrations retained at least a core of loyal, grassroots supporters

Not so this time round

So,

  • Who do you vote for when you finally realise that you're living in what is effectively an unrepresentative single party state, or do you just not bother?
  • What do you do when you just can't pay your monthly bills any more?
  • And what are the guys who run that single party state going to come up with to preempt your decisions?

-

and whilst on the subject of past fucked-up administrations, fellow blogger Merkin made a couple of amusing comments underneath the Milliband piece; including one which made reference to 'Stand Down Margaret' by The Beat

  • Stand Down Margaret - released 1980
  • Margaret - stands down 1990

Ah, the power of popular music

Here's a clip of ex Beat member Dave Wakeling doing an acoustic version of SDM last year. There's a little sliver of ad libbing at the end which nicely captures that sense of 'what the fuck was that all about?' now being experienced by a lot of people who worked so hard to help the current government into power

plus ca change

mainstream conspiraloons #666 - Melanie Phillips

Melanie Phillips

Already the holder of a Conspiraloon Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award for the simple, yet brilliant, idea of giving The Protocols of the Elders of Zion a new lease of life by doing a quick 'search (Jew) and replace (Muslim)' in her favourite word processor, Melanie Philips has now earned a tinfoil cluster to add to that award with her brilliant and incisive take in Der Schpectator on what's really going on in Scottish politics...

A Caledonian caliphate? (25/6/08)

"...Tomorrow, the Scottish Islamic Foundation will be launched in Edinburgh in Salmond’s presence. But as the invaluable Centre for Social Cohesion tells us, the leading members of this group and many of those who lead its events are closely linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, whose aim is the Islamisation of Britain and Europe.

Its chief executive Osama Saeed, who has worked as Salmond’s researcher and is the SNP’s parliamentary candidate for Glasgow Central, is an Islamist and leading light in the Brotherhood front the Muslim Association of Britain...

... The Salmond/Saeed axis is not merely a disturbing sign of Salmond’s own prejudices. It has a potential strategic significance that goes beyond Scotland. The Brotherhood’s strategy for Britain is to promote separate Islamic development, declare sharia-only enclaves and infiltrate mainstream institutions as a springboard for Islamising the entire society. Since Salmond’s aim is to make Scotland independent from the rest of the United Kingdom, with one leap the Brothers could achieve an Islamised country on England’s border."

The sneaky bastards

though, as single leaps go, it would have to be on the largish side

Glasgow 2020?

and it's all the more fiendish and cunning a plan for the total subjugation of England when you consider that Muslims currently make up less than one per cent of the population of Scotland

Der Process

"As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a monstrous vermin"

I heartily recommend reading a couple of Lord Patel's recent posts on the subjects of our ever-diminishing civil liberties, David Davis, Shami Chakrabarti and the Curious Case of the Haltemprice By-Election...

David Davis - Another blody silly conspiracy theory from Lord Patel

Queen ready to give Assent to Criminal Evidence (Witness Anonymity) Bill - Rush to judgement - Liberty be damned !!!!

I have little doubt that we've just been exposed to a severe dose of distractive jigaboo over in Haltemprice but the specific objectives of that operation are debatable

The consensus among people I've discussed Haltemprice with is that it positioned Davis as being the potential spokesperson for all those traditional Conservative supporters who are starting to feel the pinch, economically and socially, and might start cutting up a little rough real soon now...

  • Shami's in place to cover the faux-Leftie chattering classes
  • David's on board to appeal to all the barking ex Army Majors and Little Englanders out there

If you're going to spend billions turning an entire country into an open prison, it makes sense to spend what would be petty cash on ensuring that any dissent against that program is channeled through an establishment sanctioned opposition movement. A movement which does a nice line in T-shirts and vapid publicity stunts but not much else

Lord Patel, however, suggests that Haltemprice may have had a specific as well as a general objective and points out that Davis' little stunt acted as a very effective smokescreen for the passage of the Criminal Evidence (Witness Anonymity) Bill

...because if you're going to be locked up without charge and tried without jury what's the point in knowing who your accusers are?

There's been a lot of talk about Nineteen Eighty Four and Big Brother of late.

My take is that, like the catastrophic failure of the banking system, Big Brother is already a done deal and the mainstream media, as usual and per the script, are taking their time telling us about that which has already happened

The Orwell back catalogue is already pretty much exhausted

We're moving onto Kafka next

Slugs redux

A little follow up to my previous post about David Davis' freedom campaign being given support by a PR agency which thrives on the kind creeping authoritarianism which Davis apparently dislikes so much

A snippet from PR Week (dated 17th i.e. the day after my and Lord P's post on the subject)...

"Fleishman-Hillard behind David Davis civil liberties campaign

David Davis has brought in Fleishman-Hillard to support the rollout of his controversial 'David Davis for Freedom' campaign, officially launching today. Fleishman-Hillard’s digital head Paul Borge registered the domain name for Davis’ campaign website, which went live this afternoon and includes web 2.0 applications like a Twitter feed and Facebook group.

The agency is known to have good connections within the Conservative party, although this new campaign will see Davis break away from traditional Tory policies. The website will support Davis' civil liberties drive following his high-profile resignation as MP for Haltemprice and Howden last week after the 42-day detention vote.

F-H chair Kevin Bell said the agency's digital team had been involved in website design, adding that he has known Davis for twenty years. He said he would not rule out further PR support down the line should Davis need it."

Now what does that make the retarded libertarian (sic.) fan boys who accused me of being '
a lying spastic cunt' and a 'boring cameron whore' when Blobfish floated my discovery in Guido Fawkes blog?

There's a simple reason why the fuckers who are changing our world for the worst have had the upper hand for so long...

They are smarter and, yes, sneakier than most of the cattle out there

Bred for taste - not for their problem solving abilities

And as I mentioned in a comment underneath my original post

"...imagine McDonalds is your biggest client and some one-man band outfit strolls into your office wanting to promote a campaign which conclusively proves that burgers give you cancer. What are you going to do?

Come to think of it, what's the one-man band outfit doing approaching you in the first place?"

Slugs

I’ve been chatting with a few folks over the last couple of days about David Davis’ announcement that he was going to resign as an MP and stand for re-election on a Civil Liberties/ Libertarian ticket

Based on the half-arsed way Davis went about things and the obvious confusion of the mainstream media and other politicians I was and, to an extent, still am open to the possibility that this was a genuinely spontaneous, genuinely principled act

Of course, even if it were a genuinely principled act, that wouldn’t stop Davis’ campaign acting like a magnet for the kind of spooks, shills, and useful idiots who have made opposition to the government’s creeping authoritarian agenda over the last eleven years the resounding success that it has been

As Lord Patel
mentioned the other day, it seems that David Shayler is the only spook, shill or useful idiot who hasn’t expressed support for Davis in recent days

There was a
particularly interesting article in the Guardian/ Observer on Sunday which included some names familiar to anyone who keeps an eye on the activities of the Editorial Intelligence/ New Commentariat/ Common Purpose crowd of interrelated PR invertebrates whose slimy trail can be seen all over the new media. For example...

‘Within hours of his (Davis’) resignation, senior Labour aides were suggesting the paper could mount a candidate against him; by Friday morning, ex-Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie had offered to stand. MacKenzie has said the idea followed a party for Sun editor Rebekah Wade's 40th birthday, attended by Murdoch, on Thursday night. But Wade's inclusion on the guest list for a girlie sleepover hosted by Sarah Brown at Chequers this weekend has only fuelled speculation that Downing Street was closely involved in encouraging the Sun to join the fight.’

Sarah Brown is, of course, a mate of Julia Hobsbawn, the founder of Editorial Intelligence and creator of the term ‘New Commentariat’ and all the shilltastic bloggy goodness that goes with it

But just because the stench of new media manipulation and the clatter of professional self-publicists rattling into action started emanating from around Davis' campaign that itself didn’t suggest Davis himself was part of that side of things

-

but then a funny thing that happened to me today

Over on Guido Fawkes' blog this afternoon, Mr Fawkes announced that David Davis' campaign website would have the following url…

DAVIDDAVISFORFREEDOM.COM

Being a curious soul I did a swift ‘whois’ and came up with this name as the registrant's address

Paul Borge, 40 Long Acre, London, WC2E 9LG, UK

A bit of googling and I discovered that Mr Borge is a senior IT bod with a PR agency called
Fleishman-Hillard

More googling and I discovered that F-H UK is headed up by a guy called
Kevin Bell, a former Thatcher adviser, who's kind of big on pushing for ID cards and the lovely contract 'work' that would come with them

...which struck me as a strange choice of PR agency for someone launching a Libertarian campaign

Not sure, and I'm still not sure, if I had made an error or not I asked my friend The Blobfish to comment on Fawkes’ blog asking folk to confirm or refute this train of research

After a little while someone came back and said, no, the domain was actually registered to Davis and Blobfish was mistaken/ a liar/ a troll employed by David Cameron

I repeated the whois search for myself and also got Davis' name and address - though whois did mention that the entry was updated sometime today

A little more searching around and I found what appears to be a cache of an older entry for DAVIDDAVISFORFREEDOM.COM (it's here but presumably not for long) and there was Mr Borge’s name back again...

Now I may be barking up the wrong tree here (I'm nursing a shocking cold), and I'm more than open to being put straight, but it does look like Davis’ campaign url was registered by an employee of a PR company, headed by someone who thinks ID cards are fucking ace, and subsequently re-registered to Davis’ name and address only today

Strange n’est ce pas?

That other great conservative libertarian maverick Ron Paul - urging concerned citizens to put all their eggs into one basket case

As someone said to me a few days ago, truly spontaneous expressions of mass dissent rarely start from the top down...

Somebody must be doing something right redux

Anyone who has bumped into this blog more than a couple of times will have noticed that I have doubts about the Official Narrative of the July 7th bombings and the wider War on Terror

And whenever the subject of July 7th comes up I endorse the efforts of the July 7th Truth Campaign - a group of people who try very hard to research the Official Narrative of 7/7 in as objective and sensitive a way as they can

Naturally enough, there are other 7/7 sceptics out there who are little less objective and a little less sensitive about how they go about things

Some of those other 7/7 sceptics also have some pretty peculiar beliefs and opinions on other subjects

but, in the same way that I don't accuse all Labour Party supporters of being mass murdering genocidal twunts simply because they support a political party which has given safe haven and a platform to mass murdering genocidal twunts, that doesn't mean I or other 7/7 sceptics agree with or approve of some of the nonsense other self-professed 7/7 'conspiracy theorists' come out with

This should be an obvious enough point but, sadly, it appears to be too intellectually demanding for certain bloggers and other members of the 'commentariat' to grasp

A few months ago I mentioned that the BBC was putting together a documentary (sic.) about 7/7 Conspiracy Theories. I also mentioned that everyone I personally rate in the field of sceptical 7/7 research had told the BBC to go fuck itself. I speculated at the time that, cheated of its prey, the BBC would probably whisk up a few genuine nutters and/or provocateurs, pretend that they were the real™ and representative voice of 7/7 scepticism and do a number on them

A few months after my post a guy called Nick Kollerstrom hove into view - billed by 7/7 conspiracy theory debunkers as a 'leading' 7/7 conspiracy theorist and exposed (sic.) as a revisionist Holocaust Denier at more or less the same time

I love coincidences

Well, the completely unplanned, unmanaged, cross-media marketing campaign that is Operation BBC Conspiracy Files now appears to be entering its next phase

A spot of manufactured outrage in the
Evening Standard...

'BBC buys holocaust denier sandwich shock horror!!'

and the Daily Telegraph...

and The Sun...

and, of course, Melanie Phillips is in on the act too...

Melanie Phillips

"And now some further evidence of the BBC’s famed commitment to its public service principles of fairness, balance and objectivity for which British taxpayers stump up the licence fee. The London Evening Standard reports that the BBC paid expenses to Nicholas Kollerstrom for contributing to Conspiracy Files, a documentary about theories surrounding the 7/7 London tube and bus bombings. Kollerstrom, a Holocaust denier, has pestered families bereaved by the 7/7 bombs, claiming the attacks were an intelligence agency plot."

"The BBC treats conspiracy crackpots like this as legitimate sources of information because it produces programmes which, merely by investigating them, give credence to crackpot conspiracy theories involving Americans, Israel and the Jews. And that is because it leads the field in Britain’s current abandonment of reason and embrace of irrationality and prejudice towards America, Israel and the Jews."

Mel may be a frothy-mouthed shill but she's not a stupid frothy-mouthed shill. She must know full well that the only reason the BBC gives hand-picked people like Dr Nick occasional airtime is to smear anyone with legitimate doubts about official fairy tales by associating them with moonbats like Dr Nick.

By slagging off the Beeb for doing the interests she cheerleads for a favour, Melanie is trying have her cake and eat it. Only her mouth is probably so full of bile she probably couldn't get it down anyway

and, as with the police and politicians doing the terrorists' work for them by bigging up their capabilities at every opportunity, even if I didn't have doubts about the Official July 7th Narrative in the first place, the fact that the BBC needs to resort to such slimy tricks would just scream out to me that something about the War of Terror fable is terribly amiss

-

and, on the subject, of smearing by association there's a flier doing the rounds which gives the impression that some folk from J7T are appearing at a meeting with Muslim academic Nafeez Ahmed in London later this month

only they're not - I've just checked. And there's a very a good chance that the 'J7 researchers' billed in the flier are none other than every 7/7 sceptic's favourite holocaust denier Dr Nicholas Kollerstrom.

which, whether he realises it or not, probably means that Nafeez is a closet Islamorevisionst (the next exciting development in sticking the word 'Islamo' in front of something unpleasant - Islamofundamentalist, Islamofascist, Islamorevisionist, Islamokiddiefiddler, Islamotrafficwarden, etc etc)

and remember boys and girls, if you doubt what your government and newspapers are telling you you're probably a Nazi, or mad, or, more than likely, both

Boris Johnson - quaking in his Nikes

Remember, this guy is an idiot, just like other idiots such as George Bush and Tony Blair. Everything this guy will do in office will be because he is an idiot and not because it is part of any coherent portfolio of elitist objectives.
Do not forget that, ever

There's a point I've tried to develop in a couple of posts about the recent London mayorial election which goes something like this...

Now that it is likely some Tories are going to get re-elected to high office, all sorts of allegedly Left Wing, Liberal, Libertarian and Progressive types are going to start noticing all sorts of disgraceful things which have been in plain view for the better part of 10 years or more

... not that this crowd is any better equipped to comprehend these disgraceful things than when these things were 'invisible'

Anyone who would like to participate in this magical discovery of disgraceful things which will become visible now that the Tories will start to administer them could do a lot worse than starting with this new site...

...inspired presumably by the phenomenally successful Blair Watch site which managed to reduce war criminal Tony Blair's tenure as Prime Minister to a humiliatingly short ten years; through a carefully crafted strategy of effectively supporting the Nu Labour party, regardless

For their sakes I hope that the people who will comment on Boris Watch can manage to avoid espousing any thoughts or observations which sound like conspiracy theories (i.e. anything based on the premise that extremely rich people sometimes get together to fuck over less rich people) otherwise they'll end up accusing each other of being mental

A ghoulish hyena rants

A long post I'm afraid...

I’m posting this by way of response to an increasingly turgid thread of comments underneath one of
Lord Patel’s recent posts

This exchange is part of what is, on a national scale, a storm in a teacup but what is in the corner of the Internet I inhabit a significant flurry of activity which has coincided with the current round of terror show trials taking place in the UK

The Wrath of Khan
aka
How to report a video of a man telling his baby daughter to be strong before he travels overseas as evidence of him ‘grooming’ her to be a terrorist before exploding himself in London

The thread in question is punctuated by a series of anonymous comments which set out to put us Conspiraloons in our place by the devastating, original and side-splittingly funny combination of -
  • Calling us mad
  • Talking about tinfoil hats a lot
  • Putting words in our mouths and telling us what we believe
  • And, er, some more really hysterical stuff about tinfoil hats
...possibly all part of some cunning plan to rid the world of (unofficial) 'conspiracy theorists' by boring us all to death

though, peculiarly, anonymong forgets to mention that we are all nazi racists – which appears to be the meme of month. A simple oversight I’m sure

Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t spend any more time than I already have responding to this stuff. The poster in question is unlikely to undergo a Damascene conversion to my worldview and he’s not providing any useful insights that would allow me to scrutinise and maybe consider modifying it

Tedious shit like this is a common occurrence on the Internet and Life is just too plain fucking short

However, as I mentioned, there’s other stuff going on at the moment and one particular group of citizen researchers over at J7T must be doing something right as so many other groups - the BBC, do nothing Leftie bloggers, 9/11 debunkers and even many 9/11 UK 'Truthers' are attempting to distract their efforts and smear them using some of the cheapest tricks you're ever likely to see

The most popular cheap trick seems to be trying to associate us with fringe or extremist characters with questionable or repugnant views.

In particular, one character over at the 9/11 UK forum cut and pasted some tired old holocaust revisionist material, published it in his own name, started pissing in the pool of 7/7 research, gave interviews to a BBC production team doing a conspiracy theorist debunking piece and then acted all surprised when things started to go tits up on him

The guy’s either a self-destructive tool or some kind of shill and in no way representative of the 7/7 sceptics I align myself with. A man with his views could have just as easily been found supporting the Official Narrative of 7/7 and promoting Protocols of the Elders Islam style bullshit. Anyone who pretends otherwise is being intellectually dishonest

Another group of characters ‘debunkers’ attempt to associate me and my kind with is the UFO, Alien, Tinfoil Hat brigade

Again, an intellectually dishonest ploy which indicates that the people employing it at least subconsciously realise that they’re talking crap and are forced to put words in our mouths and beliefs in our heads that they are capable of arguing against and which we have no interest in defending

It is a very strange, surreal feeling indeed trying to debate with someone who persistently tells you what you believe and then starts ranting, all foamy-mouthed, against it.

There’s also something quite sinister, and Stalinist, about someone repeatedly referring to you as being mentally ill for having beliefs they disagree with

A recent self-portrait

In the comment thread which prompted this post, reference is made to the Conspiraloon Alliance blog a few of us set up the last year. The intention of the blog was to demonstrate that some of us at least are capable of exercising critical thinking to nonsense conspiracy bollocks as well as official narratives. A capacity for unblinkered, self-corrective thought which is evidently lacking in those who abuse us. This has occasionally resulted in some delightfully confused ‘truth seekers’ and debunkers alike stumbling onto our site and getting completely the wrong end of the stick.

(Something similar may have happened on my Elvis post earlier this week. I’m not sure if it was a joking friend or a critic but someone pulled me up for getting the background and the fake timestamp on my fake photo wrong. Er, no I didn’t, it was a parody of the Luton CCTV image and thanks for bowling me such an easy ball in the comments. I do hope it was a genuine critic - misplaced intellectual arrogance is one of my favourite spectator sports)

Polarising debate about how the world works into two mutually exclusive, all encompassing camps – one of which believes that there are no conspiracies, the other which believes any old shite Icke or Shayler come out with is a false dichotomy and disenfranchises the vast majority of people who do give a damn about what’s going on in the world

We Conspiraloons are neither with You nor against You. We totally reject Your false choice bullshit.

Much of this nonsense I attribute to the frailties of human nature, not deliberate disinformation. There’s a turf war for people’s minds going on out there and the numbers of people who view the world in the kind of way I do is growing and very few, if any people, will turn back once they’ve adopted that new paradigm.

This, I suspect, is alarming some people. Some people in authority but also some people who believe that only they know the One True Truth and that anyone who does not yield to their Truth, and their authority must be insane scum

This turf war involves all sorts of characters – some of whom are the same kind of mockney, donkey dick jacket wearing, middle class leftie tossers I first met at university; affecting the mannerisms and airs of a class of people they fundamentally despise.

"Hello, we're Left Wing don't you know'

Others are parapolitical dinosaurs who still haven’t quite caught up with the impact of the Internet and miss the days when their turgid but beloved newsletters were one of the few sources of alternative news and views. I mention that second small group,
as typified by this site, because I suspect the anonymous commentator on Lord P’s blog hails from that sad, lonely, tumbleweed-infested corner of Infospace

Notes from a Ghost Town

If you look outside of the English speaking world a large number of people already think the way we Conspiraloons do. They’ve had their countries and lives comprehensively fucked by the interests and forces I believe are at work here in Europe and the US. They know who the real lunatics, racists and nazis are and the games those bastards play

The bottom line is that the people I stand with, imperfect and fallible as we all are, at least try be honest. Many of those who stand against us patently don't

-

A parting thought…

Whilst I was discussing the recent round of abuse and smearing that has been directed our way with fellow loons, someone mentioned that the most memorable insult they’d received was the accusation that they were a…

Now the thing is, I’ve met this ghoulish hyena in the flesh and that person is the least ghoulish, least hyena-like individual you’d could possibly imagine

And I was reminded of the public execution of John Charles de Menezes

From the day it happened it was clear that official statements about what happened were untrue and were subsequently shown to be untrue – as demonstrated by this cringefest of a Muppet outside Stockwell Tube faithfully parroting everything she had been told to believe…

and we still haven’t the faintest idea what really happened – surveillance tapes from JCdM’s home and Stockwell have been disappeared, the executioners and the witnesses who made misleading statements to the press immediately after the shooting have not appeared in court, no explanation has been given for chasing the train driver down a tunnel and holding a gun to his face, and so on

On top of that, I haven’t forgotten the establishment-promoted smears that were heaped on de Menezes' still-warm corpse after his execution

He was definitely linked to terrorists. He was running (sic.) because he had a hooky visa. He was coked up. He was an accused rapist…

So, who are the hyenas who are shitting on the graves of the dead again?

I shit on all of you

-

edit: and cheers to Alex Fear for reminding me of this peculiar little Damones-esque clip from The Bourne Ultimatum...

Absolutely f**king disgraceful

Now that the British 2008 Spring/ Summer TERROR!! Season is fully under way, with four (I missed one from my list the other day) collateralised terror trials starting or finishing in the space of a few days, there's been a fair old spike in on-line discussion about 7/7 and the TERROR!! threat generally

Miffy

Much of that discussion - both pro and anti the sceptical position I personally take about the Official Narrative of 7/7 - has been informative and thought provoking

Some of it has been fucking disgraceful

In particular, some people associated with an allegedly progressive, left wing web site have been working very hard to gleefully smear anyone who has doubts about the Official Narrative of 7/7 as being racist holocaust deniers

The nature of the evidence to support this accusation goes like this...

1. Someone who posted holocaust revisionist material on right wing forums has also expressed doubts about the official narrative of 7/7 and posted links to the July 7th Truth forum (J7T)

2. The J7T forum maintains private areas

er, that's it

Whilst I appreciate that we now live in a country where reading up on current affairs, shopping at Tescos or playing tennis can be unashamedly presented as proof of evil intent, as evidence goes, this is still pretty thin

Terror Tennis - just like normal tennis but with beards

And whilst I have no doubt that some racist holocaust deniers dabble in 7/7 scepticism, I'm equally sure that some racist holocaust deniers probably support Arsenal, own a Celine Dion CD, watch Coronation Street and drink lager

Nazi Cow!!

Alternatively, one could make the same point by a simple link to Neo-Fascist, probable holocaust deniers who believe that 7/7 happened in exactly the way the government says it did

As for the issue of the J7T forum maintaining private areas, even though I'm not an active J7T researcher I have been trusted with access to those private parts of the forum where active members discuss administrative issues and talk off-topic shit.

Now, I may be abusing the trust that was given to me when granted access to those private threads but I can reveal that there is no talk promoting space aliens, David Shayler worship, paedophilia, cannibalism, vivisection
, virgin sacrifice, racism or holocaust denial

I have seen the private thread which linked to the website claiming that J7T activists are hate-mongers and, not surprisingly, the gist of it is '
take a look at what these dicks are saying about us!!'

In fact, more than any group that I know of, especially the bunch of spackers pushing this crap, the folk at J7T are acutely conscious of how holocausts start and fear that we may be living through times which mirror the events of seventy five years ago

Ordinarily, I wouldn't give that much of a toss about a small, insignificant website pushing bollocks smears about some people who I like and respect. I wouldn't even normally react to the fact that the allegations have been painted with such a broad brush that they encompass
anyone with doubts about 7/7, myself included

I certainly wasn't going to post anything about it

Except that, the 'racist holocaust denier' mentioned in the original smear (someone I don't know from Adam but who is described as a 'leading British truth seeker') is reportedly talking with the BBC

A few months ago the producers of the BBC's
Conspiracy Files started contacting prominent 7/7 'conspiracy theorists' and inviting them to be ritually crucified on a forthcoming Conspiracy Files program on 7/7 'conspiracy theories'. All of them, very sensibly, told the BBC to go fuck itself.

At the same time, the BBC also contacted some slightly, um, less prominent 7/7 'conspiracy theorists', which led to one comedy posting on a 9/11 forum to the effect of '
I've done fuck all research on 7/7 but the BBC still asked me to appear on their show WTF?!').

In the end, as far as I can tell, the BBC did find someone, someone who claims to be the Rightful King of England
and the Messiah, who was willing to talk about 7/7 and offer himself up for carefully edited ridicule on national television

and then things went quiet

and now this shit

So, we're now faced with the distinct possibility that the BBC is going to put out a hit-piece on 7/7 scepticism featuring two 'leading' 7/7 conspiracy theorists - one of whom claims to be Jesus, the other who possibly thinks Hitler was Jesus

(correction per a comment below: actually, the Rightful King of England had the sense to tell the Beeb to piss off as well. So that just leaves the other bloke)

This nonsense just doesn't wash any more. There are now enough people, not a majority by any means, but a useful number who are media savvy enough know a straw man when they see one.

It is neither honest nor honourable to select the most flawed arguments and the most flawed people to present those arguments, edit the results to suit your bosses' agenda and then present the results as objective and truthful

But that won't stop the BBC doing that, or some of us hating what this kind of behaviour represents even more

or believing that this kind of behaviour vindicates our suspicions

Under absolutely no circumstances is it ever permissible for the mainstream media to depict people who mistrust the official accounts or 7/7, or 9/11, as being anything but mentally defective, dishonest or plain wicked - irrespective of whether they are or not

For the moment anyway, I still have the right to question what the British government and establishment tells its subjects. A government and establishment which have been proven time and time again to be a bunch of lying sociopathic bastards

Fuck them

And if whores at the BBC really do knock out an account of those who doubt the Official Narrative of 7/7 which can only rely on smears and dishonesty to make its case then fuck them too, and shame on anyone who chooses to be a part of it

'9/11 Conspiracy Theories Ridiculous' - Al Qaeda

More top-quality disinfo doing a very good job of masquerading as subversive humour...

...that would be a '2' on the Gandhi-scale

Bread and Circuses, mostly circuses...

Jan Smuts' statue, Parliament Square - the placard and the sentiment are not permanent features

Towards the end of the afternoon, after most of today's Stop the War marchers were heading home, I was hanging around with a chum in Parliament Square, chatting with a couple of protesters, when we were approached by an African guy holding a photo album.

He wanted to show us some pictures

And very unpleasant they were too. The album was filled with page after page of photographs of victims of atrocities carried out, so our new friend claimed, in the Congo. I've been shown a few albums like that in my time and I couldn't be 100% sure that the pictures really were taken in the Congo

But it doesn't really matter. There's no-one denying that millions have been killed there. The guy with the album claimed eight million, 'official' western estimates usually never equal or exceed the magic six million figure

Once we'd finished looking at his snapshots the guy looked up at us and said in earnest, broken English

'The west takes our resources and kills our people. Please, they can keep taking our resources but stop killing our people'

That's not asking for much is it? And fucking heartbreaking to hear someone say that to you

The guy wasn't after money from us or even a few poxy signatures on a petition. He just wanted people to know what's going on in his country

And as he walked away, one of the protesters we were chatting with said something like

'Eight million people and it barely gets a mention in the papers!'

No it doesn't.

Come to think of it, our papers don't even serve the self-interest of the majority of their own domestic populations, let alone ordinary people in Central Africa.

Did the news that a major US investment bank has just died on its arse; bringing the prospect of a complete meltdown of the economic system on which we all currently rely that little bit closer, make it to the top of the news bulletins yesterday? Did it fuck. All the television channels and newspapers were full of this cobblers...

So, thanks to the anonymous commentator who left a link to this image under my previous post...

it really hit the spot, today of all days
