For anyone interested in the BBC's utterly impartial, establishment agenda-free coverage of the domestic War on Terror, I heartily recommend a visit to the following post, and the first comment underneath it, on Lord P's blog...

Mainstream Conspiraloons #129 - Baron West of Spithead

"Some of the measures that we have put into place in the past 15 months have made us safer, but that does not mean that we are safe"

"The threat is huge. It dipped slightly and is now rising again within the context of 'severe'.

"There are large complex plots. We unravelled one, which caused damage to al-Qaeda and the plots faded slightly.

"However, another great plot is building up again, which we are monitoring.

"We have done a great deal to protect ourselves and to look after our water supplies, our resilience, underground trains, our preparedness and communications.

"We have done all the things that we need to do, but the threat is building - the complex plots are building."

Very serious charges at the Met

I haven't seen too much crowing in cyberspace about the demise of part-time Ridley Scott lookalike and full-time shit copper Ian Blair earlier this week

Sir Ian Blair

The problem is, I think, the fact that there's a very strong possibility that Blair is going to be replaced by someone even more reactionary than he is

Whilst undoubtedly perplexing for those of us who have issues with Blair because he repeated untruths about JCdM, blocked the investigation into JCdM's execution and was an enthusiastic and high-profile booster of the nonsense War on Terror fairytale, the biggest criticism of Blair promoted by the establishment media was that he was 'too PC' and too soft on potential evil doers

Not that I personally expect Blair's successor to be that different from Blair

Conspiratorial thinking aside, it's a plain fact of Life that the people who rise to the top of large institutions usually do so not because of any technical ability they might have but because they have mastered internal politics or have been mentored by masters of internal politics

If you're busy trying to do your job properly there's no way you've got the time to get stuck into the serious business of putting the shaft into your fellow team members

And the bigger the organisation the more scope there is for dead weight, non accountability and parasitism

The Metropolitan Police, and every other large, centralised organisation, all the way up to old favourites such as the EU, the UN and the big corporate cartels are and always will be Institutionally, and inherently, Corrupt

and you don't need to be a Conspiraloon to acknowledge this

and then, popping my Conspiraloon hat back on, you've got to admit that stuffing the special duties sections of our police forces with serial shaggers and the kind of dishonest fuckers who have no qualms about getting beered up on tens of thousands of public money does make for a very malleable security establishment doesn't it

and if that doesn't work it's nothing an ill-fated camping holiday or Sunday afternoon stroll in the woods can't solve

Whooops

The really scary thing is that, in this fucked-up post 9/11 world, it's only the strength of Russia and China that stands a chance of keeping our own war-mongering establishment in check

which is probably why the likes of the BBC, CNN, SKY and Fox have been contorting themselves to an embarrassing degree in their efforts to maintain their uniformly bent coverage of the fighting in Ossetia and the pissiest little foul-ups in Beijing

and as for David Miliband accusing the Russians of pursuing '19th century forms of diplomacy' and behaving in a manner that was 'unacceptable in the 21st century', the warmly appreciative comments underneath this article (PS nice one Merkin) suggest at least some people are as nauseated by that hypocritical c*nt as I am

Stand Down Margaret/ Tony/ Gordon/ David

These are interesting days over at
The Guardian's 'Comment is Free' site

First there was Charlton Brooker's smug and excruciatingly unfunny piece on 9/11 Conspiraloons which drew 1,778 warmly appreciative comments in next to no time...

And now there's David Milliband's equally smug, but slightly funnier (unintentionally) piece, on why the Labour Government isn't really an unholy incarnation of Pure Evil...

...743 adoring comments and counting

Forget about oil and gas shortages, if things carry on like this we'll reach Peak Tinfoil long before the hydrocarbons run out

Though, in fairness, there was a division of opinion between Loon and Anti-Loon in the comments underneath the 9/11 article

No such division of opinion underneath the Milliband piece

Everyone is fucked off with David and the Labour Party

Even members of the Labour Party

The penny has finally dropped

It would seem that calls to support the Labour Party, however wicked its actions, simply because it isn't the Conservative Party just won't cut it any more

which makes for an interesting situation

Even in their worst days, previous fucked up administrations retained at least a core of loyal, grassroots supporters

Not so this time round

So,

  • Who do you vote for when you finally realise that you're living in what is effectively an unrepresentative single party state, or do you just not bother?
  • What do you do when you just can't pay your monthly bills any more?
  • And what are the guys who run that single party state going to come up with to preempt your decisions?

-

and whilst on the subject of past fucked-up administrations, fellow blogger Merkin made a couple of amusing comments underneath the Milliband piece; including one which made reference to 'Stand Down Margaret' by The Beat

  • Stand Down Margaret - released 1980
  • Margaret - stands down 1990

Ah, the power of popular music

Here's a clip of ex Beat member Dave Wakeling doing an acoustic version of SDM last year. There's a little sliver of ad libbing at the end which nicely captures that sense of 'what the fuck was that all about?' now being experienced by a lot of people who worked so hard to help the current government into power

Intermission

There now follows a short-ish intermission - more than enough time to complete the following 'Spot the Twunt' challenge...

Ciao Ken, it's been wonderful

Immediately after the 7/7 bombings Ken Livingstone made a speech which, aside from the usual egocentric self-promotion, veered dangerously towards the statesmanlike and the humane...

"I want to say one thing specifically to the world today. This was not a terrorist attack against the mighty and the powerful. It was not aimed at Presidents or Prime Ministers. It was aimed at ordinary, working-class Londoners, black and white, Muslim and Christian, Hindu and Jew, young and old. It was an indiscriminate attempt to slaughter, irrespective of any considerations for age, for class, for religion, or whatever.

That isn't an ideology, it isn't even a perverted faith - it is just an indiscriminate attempt at mass murder and we know what the objective is. They seek to divide Londoners. They seek to turn Londoners against each other."

I almost respected him for a moment

but aside from that it's been business as usual under cuddly Ken...
  • money spunked on monstrously crooked public-private 'partnerships'

  • that fraudulent Olympic bid

  • the ridiculous congestion charge which has achieved very little aside from lining contractors' pockets and making the roads a little less congested for the rich

  • outright graft and corruption, not least the supremely dodgy Brixton Base project. I can, wait for it (reaches for camera), see the now empty 'Base' out of my front window and I believe that, twat that he is, Andrew Gilligan sussed it out pretty fair and square

The Brixton money pit

  • and, above all, the pure and simple arrogance of power. Anyone who has watched the contempt with which Livingstone has treated the elected assembly to which he should have been accountable should have been appalled at his behaviour

I can honestly say the time I took out of my day to vote against Livingstone yesterday was one of the most rewarding ways I have found to spend fifteen minutes of my life

even my local (Labour) MP thinks Ken's a twunt

this 'at least Labour's better than the Tories' crap doesn't wash any more, even if it ever did, which I doubt very much.

In many, many ways, the current shower of bastards have managed to outshine even Thatchler

The Labour party died and was resurrected as a zombie puppet fifteen or more years ago and it's about time a few more people realised that

Bye bye Ken. It's looking like (fingers crossed) you're unemployed now but something tells me that you won't be short of a bob or two

-

and in related news, here's that clip of Richard Littlejohn bitchslapping that most supremely annoying of Champagne Socialists/ Limousine Liberals Polly Toynbee - as great an enemy of ordinary people as any Tory grandee or fascistic rabble rouser...

When it comes to a toss-up between the likes of Littlejohn or Toynbee I definitely choose neither

Everything's just f**king peachy

Gordon Brnwo - totally, indisputably, 100% out of his fucking box

It's looking like I might have been just a tad premature writing a post a few days ago making crude analogies between recent events in Britain and Nazi Germany

The material just keeps on coming

First, Gordon Brwno announces an initiative to militarise school kids (aka
Schooltrip Troopers aka the Brown Shirts aka the Gordo-Jugend)

and now, today, Gordon's doing his best 'last days in the bunker' impression, raving about how fucking great everything is financially and barking out decrees to a non-existent fantasy economy which is somehow going to pull him, his mates and all the rest of us out of the shit

Un-fucking-believable

There again, I suppose the word 'low' is a relative term and maybe 10-15% pa inflation and even greater increase in money supply really is 'low' - and maybe the forex markets really aren't dumping pounds as fast as Gordon and his banker buddies can whisk them out of thin air...

The Pound-Euro exchange rate over the last two years - hmmm, Weimar-tastic. Even more so If you bear in mind that the Euro is over-inflated junk as well

And if anyone out there has ingested enough aspartame to really believe that inflation is low and that a short term reduction in interest rates represents an excellent opportunity to borrow some more money may I recommend that they give this guy a call (a link that really does need the sound on to appreciate in all its glory)

-

and whilst (still) on the subject of all things Hitler, here's a postcard of Adolf which was doctored by British intelligence for circulation in Germany during the last war. The editing work is very subtle and may be hard to spot at first but I can assure you that this is indeed a retouched photograph...

The Land and The King are One

Here's the video to go with that globalist 'Progressive Governance Summit' with the fetching crooked-cross logo which is being hosted by the Prime Minister this weekend...

Unfortunately, even though Gordon BrNWO says to viewers of the film (in a really, really sincere utterly not creepy way)...

"We want to hear your views on the global challenges we face and on how we should respond."

...commenting underneath the video has been forbidden

No doubt this is an entirely sensible and thoughtful safety measure intended to stop the Internet being broke as a result of millions of Gordon's adoring subjects falling over themselves to post how much of a cunt they think he is

edit: from today's Independent...

"Mr Brown won plaudits from his guests for his record on aid to Africa but there was an embarrassing hiccup before his arrival: the logo for today's summit of world leaders bore an uncanny resemblance to a Nazi swastika. Downing Street removed the logo from its website and ordered the designers to come up with a new one. "It would be totally wrong to read anything sinister into the intentions of the designers," said a No 10 spokeswoman."

A new Messiah in waiting

A scary thought just came over me whilst commenting on another blog on the subject of global warming

Having a little background in Earth history, a healthy mistrust of oligarchical dynasties such as the Windsors, the Goldsmiths and the Rothschilds and therefore their envirofeudalist spawn, and having visited Greece last month just a few days after the Parthenon was covered in
six inches of snow, I'm just a teensy wee bit sceptical about the Man Made Global Warming thing

my comment went something like this...

"the new fad in 2009 might actually be how we’re all going to stop the climate getting cooler

…tax rebates on 4×4 ownership, fines for cavity wall insulation and double glazing, energy saving lightbulb crushing parties, all sorts of fun stuff

it’s all also worth pointing out the ‘debate’ is all about ‘climate change’ these days NOT ‘global warming’. The arse-covering has already been put in place in the language that is being used"

I must confess to being quite amused by the thought that the entire climate change industry might be obliged to one day rapidly turn 180 degrees and start extolling the virtues of pumping as much crap into the atmosphere as possible

What wasn't so amusing was the follow-on thought as to the identity of the person most eminently qualified to lead such a movement to try and maintain the Earth at its most correct temperature for the last 650 million years; as designated by the David Rothschild and his chums (that would be, of course, today's temperature), through the energetic promotion of deliberate Man Made Global Warming

It could only be one person couldn't it?

strange times make for some seriously fucking strange alliances

WikiWar™

A few days ago I wrote a post about bullshit terror pundits in response to the July 7th Truth Campaign publishing some information they have uncovered about a possible gap in the official biography one of the UK's leading terror pundits, Peter Power

An anonymous commentator under my post was thoughtful enough to update Power's entry on Wikipedia

which didn't go down too well with someone over in WikiLand...

"I and a few others, watch out for hostile groups trying to hijack Wikipedia features to promote themselves. It is known from other websites that you have a very hostile vendetta against Power. Your organisation should express its views in another article. I gather you believe that the 7 July 2005 London bombing tragedy was played by actors pretending to be injured, or missing the point that there have been 22 bombs on the London underground since 1885? The ‘Julyseventh’ group who inserted the previous last sentence in the article about Peter Power have been inaccurate and malicious in their intent, as opposed to just informative. Their addition has therefore been removed. You are adding nothing of value to this article, expect to suit your purposes that I and others consider malicious. You are part of the 'julyseventh'campaign has a very hostile vendetta against Power (see many other websites) and you clearly seek to use Wikipedia to further this by adding valueless/malicious additions. Please stop doing this--Martinfud (talk) 17:28, 14 February 2008 (UTC)..."

There's been plenty more Power-related goings on behind the scenes at Wikipedia, including a fair old slab of probable sock puppetry

What is clear from reading the exchanges is that the burden of proof demanded from people who dissent against officially sanctioned viewpoints, theories and, um, biographies is a lot higher than that demanded of pundits who are given free-rein to push fascistic fear-mongering nonsense on national TV

I mention these goings-on just on the offchance that 'anon' doesn't realise that he's started a small WikiWar™ and would like to take the opportunity to put the record straight about J7T NOT being the originators of the original edit, as they have been accused of being by someone with their hand up a sock's arse

An actor depicting what Peter Power might look like if he or a friend of his were editing a Wikipedia entry

As for the accusation that vendettas are being waged...

I can't speak for J7T or anon but there are only two reasons why I am interested in Peter Power...

1. He's on TV a lot selling what I believe to be a bullshit War on Terror paradigm which is steadily diminishing those freedoms he and his kind claim to be protecting. The supposed credibility of what he is selling derives largely from his reported professional history. That professional history is therefore clearly a matter of public interest

2. He went on radio on the day of the London bombings and claimed that his firm was carrying out a terrorism response drill at
exactly the same time and in exactly the same stations as the 7/7 bombs. This, I believe, means that either a hugely improbable fluke took place, Power's firm had some prior knowledge of the planned attacks on London, or he is a bullshitter who was plugging his firm whilst the bodies of the victims of 7/7 were still warm. I don't pretend to know what the answer is but anyone concerned with 7/7 and its repercussions would probably like see Power's claims investigated, by the police or the mainstream media. So far, they appear not to have been and matey continues to crop up on the State Broadcasting Company banging away about the 'New Normal' uncontested

This isn't the first time an anonymous commentator on this blog has posted something a little contentious on Wikipedia. A while back someone (I'm guessing the same someone who posted the Power edit) created a Wikipedia entry for that other bunch of creepy nutsacks
Common Purpose. It's heartening to note that the folks over at
Common Purpose have been offended by some of the things Internet Conspiraloons have been saying about them and they recently posted a rebuttal which makes some vague hints about legal action without going so far as to announcing they are going to take any. More on CP and other fun Nu-World 'opinion shaping' outfits such as Editorial Intelligence another time

In the meantime, nice one(s) 'anon' but please be aware that there are folks out there keen to rip into J7T whenever it puts a foot wrong or can be misrepresented as having put a foot wrong - if you read through the discussion over at Wiki I think you'll understand what I mean

.
