A bad case of Gas

Colonialism can be an infuriating business.

No sooner have you displaced the indigenous population to some carefully selected, apparently barren, godforsaken craphole of a 'homeland' when, time and time again, some joker discovers a whole heap of oil or gold or uranium or water or whatever underneath it.

Which means that you have to start the entire process of relocating everyone to another godforsaken craphole of a homeland all over again. You might even find yourself thinking about some more, um, final solutions. Especially if available space is a bit tight

Now fuck off!

So, imagine my complete lack of surprise on coming across this two year old article today -

and no surprise either to find out that 'BG' Group (that's the colonial arm of British Gas hiding behind the acronym) is in on the deal

Many of those on the state-sanctioned Left vociferously argue that religion is the cause of all wars. Which is sort of Truthy; provided you consider that, to some people anyway, thieving stuff is a religion

Ah well, blaming all the shit that goes down on competing groups of Sky God believers does make for a good story.

Who gives a fuck if it's true or not

I just stumbled over "History Commons". I don't know what to make of it (yet), obviously one has to be on the look-out that the dominant paradigm does not slip in (or is force fed into it) - but it looks promising. Might prove useful - more useful than wikipedia at least.

And a blog I found: Antifacist Calling. Seems interesting - "Deep State" stuff (I love the term - sounds so much better than conspiracy theories).

Deep Capture is the name of the blog.It is an attempt to expose and reform corruption at a "deep"level,ie an institutional level wher corruption is innate.

Ever shriller and more frantic has become the insistence of the warmists, cheered on by their army of media groupies such as the BBC, that the last 10 years have been the "hottest in history" and that the North Pole would soon be ice-free – as the poles remain defiantly icebound and those polar bears fail to drown. All those hysterical predictions that we are seeing more droughts and hurricanes than ever before have infuriatingly failed to materialise.

Readers were equally generous this year in rushing to the aid of Sue Smith, whose son was killed in a Snatch Land Rover in Iraq in 2005. Their contributions made it possible for her to carry on with the High Court action she has brought against the Ministry of Defence, with the sole aim of calling it to account for needlessly risking soldiers' lives by sending them into battle in hopelessly inappropriate vehicles.

If they only had used appropriate vehicles, we at the newspapers would not have any problem at all with this murderous and illegal war...

There will be continued argument about the science of climate change over the next 12 months, but not, except on the conspiratorial fringe, about the threat. Climate change is real and worsening, and there is an overwhelming likelihood that much of it is man-made.

I like living on the conspiratorial fringe. I thought about moving of the edge - not an ideal location. But then again my perception of what is threatening is somewhat different compared to the scum bags that are...

Gee, I wonder if the wars in the 21st century will be fought over CO2 - like when Obama is going to set CO2 on his agenda. And then suddenly every car driven in China is a strategic danger to the American way of life.

@Anon

Doesn't stop people joining the military though, even though we've seen MBTs reduced to wrecks by the "primitive" Iraqi resistance many times.

As for the whole climate change thing, it is self-evident - this is the coldest winter in recent years, with snowfall throughout the United Kingdom...

Of course, the manufacturing and expenditure of munitions is used to offset CO2. Military vehicles don't have carbon footprints at all; war is green. We're bombing our way to ecological equilibrium.

Come to think of it, this whole CO2 thing has potential for the US-American franchise system!

Imagine:
- War against CO2
- CO2 regime change
- CO2 death squads
- CO2 counter-terrorism

Once the US power system believes in CO2 - which it will with Obama - expect to be served a low carbon footprint in the future like you are served "democracy" now: at gunpoint. And it doesn't matter if CO2&AGW is real, just like with democracy it will be a vehicle to push their agenda...
