Because it offends me...

A couple of days ago I was having a lunchtime beer with someone I used to work with. I forget the reason now but the subject of Islamic terrorism cropped up in the conversation and my chum made reference to those '‘Islamic nutters” running around the country.

Now the thing is my friend comes from a London Irish background and as a kid was no stranger to being part of an ethnic group caught up in a War on Terror and all that goes with it

As part of the ‘bigging up’ of the current terror threat being carried out by the media, politicians and the security forces, history is now being seriously rewritten and ‘IRA’ bombs are being portrayed as somehow less lethal than ‘Islamic’ ones

but they seemed pretty scary at the time

And there are plenty of parallels between the War on Terror then and now. Parallels such as…
  • Bullshit terror trials that are all about securing convictions at all costs, if not of genuine terrorists then of people ‘just like them’.
  • Security service infiltration of terror cells and complicity in terrorist incidents taken to such an absurd level that you can’t even be sure if those terror cells actually included any real terrorists
  • Media misrepresentation of the causes of the conflict as being all about religion and not about more earthly concerns such a colonialism, tribalism and exclusion
Yeah right, the IRA and the Loyalists were killing each other and lots of other people over disagreements about theology

For fuck’s sake

So, I gently (he is a friend) chided him for not showing a little more empathy with another group of people caught up in the same kind of fucked up mess as his friends and family were

I also mentioned a few stories about the activities of dubious Muslim converts that may, and I stressed may, be examples of a Third Hand deliberately ‘stirring the pot’. The damp squib that was the British Oppression demo was my most recent example

His reaction was interesting and echoed advice I have been given by a couple of other friends over the last few months

'I wouldn't get involved in stuff like that. They'll just be a lot of grief and heartache for no profit to yourself'

I explained that I was concerned about these issues because they offended me and offended my now curiously misplaced sense of what Britishness is (was?) supposed to be all about

And then I changed the subject.

My friend's reaction was interesting because by no stretch of the imagination could he be considered a ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ and he pretty much buys into the current War on Islamic Terror paradigm. However, in spite of that he, and people like him, still acknowledge the possible existence of shady bastards engaged in shady activities who could really fuck up your day if you piss them off enough

He might also be talking sense

And on the subject of the Irish–Islamofascist connection, another Irish chum sent me this snippet of news from the Emerald Republic…

"I see that they found 23 people stuck to the walls and ceiling of Dublin Airport yesterday. Irish Muslim extremists are believed to be responsible, having set off the world's first 'No-Nails'-bomb...."

-

And whilst I’m engaged in some serious consideration about a future content change of this blog to exclusively include pictures of daisies and puppy dogs and nothing else, a passing observation on the 21/7 trial verdict earlier this week...

One of the ‘bombers’ Ramzi Mohammed tried to do whatever he was doing in my local tube station and whilst I wasn’t in the Oval tube at the time I’m acutely conscious that I or someone I cared for could easily have been.

It was the fact that an alleged bomber tried to blow up (sic.) my local tube station then legged it down the bottom of the street where I live, combined with the execution of Jean Charles de Menezes down the road the next day, that really brought home the fact that this War on Terror stuff was taking place literally all around me. It is not an abstract, far away concern and I don’t criticise and deride the ‘Official Narrative’ of what is going on lightly.

One aspect of the conviction of the 21/7 ‘bombers’ that has not been discussed or explained is that the bombers were convicted of ‘conspiracy to murder’. Charges of ‘conspiracy to cause explosions likely to endanger life’ were dropped at the end of the trial

That needs explaining. As does the fact that the jury took a week to convict them

But don’t expect any fucking news channel to shed any light on what significance there is, if any, of the explosions charges being dropped

What they’ve done instead is to bang out headlines that unashamedly claim that the four were convicted as bombers

edit: just to be clear on this point, and as re-iterated by a couple of comments to this post...

The 21/7 'Bombers' were NOT convicted of attempting to set off bombs on 21/7.
NONE of the mainstream media are making this clear

now, as an experiment with dissonance in action, why not try and explain that to a non Conspiraloon
and see how they react

"Hi! Barry Scott here! Next time you are conspiring to engineer the complete and total collapse of Western Civilisation by attacking South London tube stations with devices made from everyday household ingredients don't forget to include the oxidising power of Cillit BANG!! in your rucksack!" (now available in Jihadi size)

And yet again, for the umpteenth time, we now find out that the security forces were all over these supposed ‘clean skin’ terrorists long before they launched their attack

And yet again, for the umpteenth time, the ‘cock-up not a conspiracy’ card is being played and instead of serious questions being asked about what ‘our’ security forces are playing at we’re being told that it’s a capacity issue that requires application of even more resources and even stricter laws and everyone with doubts should shut the fuck up

-

And whilst on the subject of strange goings-on at the Oval, I passed this thing sitting on the street opposite the station the other day

It was attached to a cable that snaked its way through a church yard and into a white van marked SISLink parked on a side street. SISLink's website indicates that the company is involved in outside broadcasts. Fine, I doubt if there is anything super sinister about that.

What did surprise me was how little interest passers-by were showing in the thing. People have become so accustomed to and
blasé
about crap like this sprouting up everywhere that it now barely registers. In fact, people only started paying attention to it once I started to photograph it - man with camera unusual, weird directional microwave thingy on tripod not unusual

That's not good

Locally sourced produce

As mentioned in an earlier post, I took a rain check on participating in the world-changing event that was Live Earth and chose instead to participate in the slightly less than global
Festa di Bermondsey over the weekend

Without quite reaching the spectacular heights of some previous years, the event still managed to include enough beer bellies, fighting dogs, discarded children and old men engaged in public frottage to make it the success that it always is.

And, of course, Chas and Dave were there…

Chas and Dave (NB not Baddiel)

Based on a couple of chats I’ve had with people who attended both
Live Earth at Wembley and some of the festivities in Bermondsey I get the distinct impression that Chas and Dave were miles better

And the viewing figures for
Live Earth seem to bear that out

As a Man Made Global Warming sceptic I should be pleased that the event had such a lukewarm reception

But I’m not

After all, when you find yourself in the same company as a newspaper such as The Daily Mail there's a good chance something isn't entirely right

And the problem is (obviously) this - just because the environmental movement is infested and corrupted by all sorts of unpleasant individuals and vested interests that doesn’t mean environmentalism is not worthwhile and essential. It’s just that environmentalism, just like lots of other well-intentioned isms past and present has become a tool for other less well-intentioned agendas. And there's a nasty risk that scepticism about a particular brand of environmentalism will translate into scepticism about all environmentalism

So where the fuck does everyone go from here? Where are the good guys?

-

And the best line heard in Chez Stef (a zero car household) on this subject in recent days was delivered by my other 1/2 after I rattled off a list of the cars Madonna owns (Mercedes Maybach, two Range Rovers, an Audi A8 and a Mini Cooper S). As the Mrs put it...

'Madonna! She doesn’t even adopt locally!'

In future, Madonna promises to only buy children conceived within 25 miles of at least one of her homes

-

And for anyone who wasn't privileged to catch Dave Edmunds' scorching, Global Warming enhancing, Saturday night set at Southwark Park here's a clip of a slightly younger Dave in action...

Extreme Twat Update

A nice little postscript to my previous post about author of 77 Essential Skills to Stop Climate Change David Meyer de Rothschild

The Prison Planet website has a short transcript from a recent interview David gave to every Conspiraloons™' favourite fear-mongering blowhard Alex Jones...

ALEX JONES: "The polar icecaps of Mars are receding at several miles a year, much faster than ours and that the moons of Saturn and Jupiter are melting, in fact several of their moons were ice and are now liquid seas - how are SUV's causing that David Rothschild?

ROTHSCHILD: "Because those planets are closer to the sun, my friend.

Priceless

Something for the Numerolgists

Available now from
Amazon and all good bookshops...

and there's still enough time to pop out and pick up a copy today (7/7/7) before you get comfy and watch the Live Earth concert coverage from all 7 continents

Amazon US has a short video message from the author here

...the author being committed environmentalist and extreme twat David Mayer de Rothschild who just happens to be a member of a certain banking family much beloved by Conspiraloons
everywhere

A member of the Rothschild family explains how to sub-size your life and family - (see also the Goldsmiths and the Windsors)

On balance, after carefully considering all the available material, I think probably the single most significant piece of evidence that I can point to when claiming that the global environmental movement has been hijacked by rich, elitist bastards from the most powerful dynasties on Earth who really don't give a toss about the bulk of Humanity is the fact that it has

-

edit: It looks like another of his fans has had a crack at editing David's Wikipedia bio (clickies)...

Now that's what I call grass roots activism

Fuck me, how I love the Internet

-

edit#2: The latest version of David's bio - this time the unapproved enhancement to its content is a little more subtle than the last one (clickies)...

and British comedian David Baddiel's wikireward for expressing heretical views about climate change (clickies)...

How much TERROR!! can you handle?

Personally I’ve never paid to much attention to astrology but maybe there is something to it. After all, if you decide to exclude the possibility of collusion and deliberate planning maybe it's worth exploring if there is something cosmically significant about the first week of July that leads to a clustering of TERROR!!ist incidents and TERROR!! trial verdicts. Verdicts like this one for example…

And this one

And not forgetting this one…

OK, the verdict hasn’t actually been announced on that last case – maybe the jury is stuck trying to figure out how they can convict four people for conspiring to commit murder when the charges of ‘conspiring to cause explosionshave been dropped

Bombers who were conspiring to commit murder without using any bombs…

Hmmm, maybe they were planning to TERROR!!-fy people to death

(Just to be clear - Personally, I think people who call for the death of ordinary British soldiers and travel around on public transport with dummy bombs do need locking up. Because, even though I have my own doubts about the role of our governments, security forces and other interests in all the bullshit and mayhem of the last five or six years, I’m equally appalled by the behaviour of losers who help to perpetuate that bullshit by playing into the hands of those vested interests)

No doubt Coincidence Theorists will maintain that the recent glut of closely-timed TERROR!! incidents and court cases is entirely accidental and certainly doesn’t tie-in with the second anniversary of the explosions in London two years ago

Yeah, and Osama bin Laden was behind last week's attacks...

and in answer to the question 'How much contempt does The Times have for the intellect of its own readers?' my first answer would be 'A lot'

On top of the anniversary of the 7/7 murders tomorrow, we’re also going to be treated to the spectacle of Live Earth

So, as well as having a bunch of bastards making political capital out of the death of 56 people in London two years ago (whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that 56 murders is equivalent to a quiet Wednesday afternoon in Baghdad these days) we’re also going to be assaulted with another bunch of bastards parading their virtue on a global stage, attempting to TERROR!!-fy the young and the dumb into believing that taking it up the rear end from unaccountable global government is going to save the planet

Me, I’ll be sitting in a park as far away from all this bollocks as possible, working through a four pack. Maybe two... Maybe ten...

edit: this just came to my attention by way of the Conspiraloon Central blog - vintage Bill Hicks on the psychology of accepting deliveries via the tradesmen's entrance...

Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew 2

Thanks to Bridget for linking me to the Comedy Gold! that is this article from the BBC today...

Firefighters saved Glasgow Airport from "total destruction" during the terror attack at the weekend, according to the officer in charge of the operation...

Ah, so that's what we saw going on.

Coming almost a full week after the events in question, the Conspiraloon in me suspects that the timing and the hyperbole of the piece is more an exercise in speculation limitation than a news story. It also doesn't really explain why the specialist airport fire fighters didn't blanket the car with retardant foam and kill the fire stone dead straight away

In fact, the article claims that the car was drenched in foam...

"The airport's firefighters poured foam on the burning jeep while some of their colleagues joined Strathclyde firefighters in training water jets on the fire which had spread to the terminal building."

and then, two lines later, it says

"Mr Adams said: "It was my risk assessment that by then, the fire would have set off any secondary device (!!?) but the cylinders still posed a danger so I ordered firefighters to drench the jeep with water while their colleagues searched the building."

None of this testimony squares with the endlessly-looped video footage of the firefighting shown that day - no foam - a car packed with gas cylinders left to merrily burn away in a most photogenic manner - a couple of water hoses playing around the scene for effect...

utter, utter arse biscuits

Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb

as not used in Glasgow Airport last Saturday

Whilst freely admitting to having no practical fire-fighting experience one thing has been niggling me since the attack on Glasgow Airport on Saturday.

Well, a shit load of things actually, but one thing in particular just came up in the course of a chat with a mate who watched the coverage from overseas.

Is it just me (and him) who thinks the firefighters on the scene acted like they couldn't be bothered to put the blaze out in much of a hurry?

Stef's Guide to Essential Jihadist Training Videos

Like many other people out there I’m still puzzling over just what it is that Doctor Evil!! and his associates were planning to achieve with last week’s car, er, ‘bombs’

Zany madcap antics from the Provisional NHS
(from b3ta)

So I thought I’d try and get hold of some of the fearsome jihadist training material available on the web so that I could develop an insight into their tactics.

My first logical port of call was the
Al-Hesbah website on which someone, apparently, predicted the attacks on London and Glasgow.

However, 15 seconds of in-depth research revealed that, like virtually every other jihadist site out there, Al-Hesbah is proxy hosted in the United States – Scottsdale, Arizona to be precise. So there’s just the teensy weensiest possibility of US intelligence service involvement.

The second site I turned to was Youtube. The nearest thing I could find to a training video for the Glasgow attack was this…

Like the attackers themselves, I was getting warmer

(b3ta again)

Anyway, to cut a long story short, my research was interrupted by an email from a chum who sent me a link to this video which covers the tactics and execution of the attacks in more than enough detail...

"A message to my brothers in the Jihad, get a grip"

It’s overly long and the guy is clearly trying to steal Boris Johnson’s act but there are a couple of good lines

-

And whilst I’m posting chilling video clips now is as good a time as any to join in with a million other people and include my own link to the
Dramatic Chipmunk video – on the basis that a) it is chilling, and b) there may be five or six internet users who haven’t seen it yet…

-

edit: Billy, the maker of 'A message to my brothers in the Jihad, get a grip' appears to be labouring under the peculiar impression that MI5 is not in the infiltration or disinformation business...

So, even though I'm still linking to his video, he's definitely an inhabitant of NonConspiro World. A world that is becoming increasingly depopulated as we fanatical conspiracy theorists infect and Conspiraloonacize the young and the feeble minded with our insane beliefs*, one by one. Hahahahahahaha!!

We'll keep fighting - and we'll WIN!!

Freshly Conspiraloonacized children - 'Give me the child until he is seven and I will give you a Conspiraloon™'

(* = Stuff like knowing that most jihadist websites are registered and hosted in the US and the UK. That organisations like MI5 and the FBI have a track record of supporting terrorist attacks. Insane material of that nature...)

New spoof news site in town

Here’s a site that might be worth keeping an eye on

There have been a few attempts at creating a British equivalent of the The Onion (legend has it that it was funny once) over the years but, to my knowledge, none were successful

Over the weekend quite a few people (including myself) were linking to a spoof headline on a new British fake news site which shows some promise…

LONDON BOMB 'NOT SCARY ENOUGH', BROWN TELLS MI5

Since then The Daily Mash has followed up with stories that include…

UK THREAT LEVEL RAISED TO 'UNDERPANTS'

DAILY MASH UNVEILS 'TERROR-NEWS' LOGO

AIRPORT ATTACKERS TO BE CHARGED UNDER ANTI-SMOKING LAWS

Fine work. It smacks of someone trawling through a few dozen forums and blogs and nicking the best comments but fine, and important, work nevertheless

Other, non terror related, headlines that have caught my eye include…
  • Rosa Klebb wins labour deputy contest

  • BRITAIN FLOODED WITH VOMIT AFTER DIANA CONCERT "We managed to hold it down until Blair and then it was like The Exorcist," say TV viewers

  • And an excellent extract from Ricky Gervais’ (sic.) blog that is absolutely spot on IMHO

"... Heard the news today that Bernard Manning is dead. As I sat on my hotel balcony, texting Gary Shandling, the totally brilliant genius behind Larry Sanders, I started thinking to myself that comedy has come a long, long way since those dark days when smoke-filled working men's clubs were home to comedians making fun of minorities without even doing it ironically. That's just lazy"

.

Keith Olbermann & Larry Johnson - 6/29/07

A couple of comments I personally disagree with but nevertheless large amounts of common sense available here...

And it's worth asking oneself why common sense is apparently in such short supply these days - including 'Questions you'll never hear raised on the BBC or Sky News' No.427...

4:45 " Where besides you are the sceptics who know what they are talking about? Is there a problem with expertise on television about terrorism in that 9 out of 10 guys who come on TV have a vested interest in there being terrorism, otherwise their counter-terrorism companies wouldn't exist any more?"

.
