"Alaskan Victim of 1918 Flu Yields Sample of Killer Virus
Published: Sunday, February 8, 1998

A specimen of the influenza virus that killed 21 million people in the 1918 worldwide epidemic has been recovered from the frozen remains of a flu victim buried in Alaska.

Researchers at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology announced on Thursday that biopsy samples from a corpse exhumed from a cemetery in Brevig Mission, Alaska, contained genetic material from the flu.

Experts have said that analyzing the genetic pattern of the 1918 virus will help scientists learn how it was able to kill so many people and will help them prepare vaccines against the virus if it resurfaces."

Last year, Army researchers identified the flu virus in preserved lung specimens taken during autopsies of soldiers killed by the flu in 1918 at military bases in Fort Jackson, S.C., and Camp Upton, N.Y., which is now the site of Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island.

At Brevig Mission, Dr. Johan Hultin, a retired San Francisco pathologist, exhumed four bodies from a mass grave and found that one, an obese woman, had been well-preserved. Tissue from her lung contained genes from the killer flu.

Dr. Jeffery K. Taubenberger of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology said last year that the genetic pattern of the 1918 flu virus was unlike that of any other flu but was closely related to that of the so-called swine flu. He said that although the 1918 epidemic was called the Spanish flu, the virus apparently was a mutation that evolved in American pigs and was spread by United States troops mobilized for World War I.

The finding supports a widespread theory that flu viruses from swine are the most virulent for humans. Both the Asian flu virus of 1957 and the Hong Kong flu virus of 1968 mutated in pigs.

The 1918 flu genes were first isolated last year from the lung tissue of an Army private who had died at Fort Jackson. Army doctors in 1918 preserved specimens in formaldehyde and wax from some of the 43,000 servicemen killed by the flu.

The epidemic caused about 700,000 deaths in the United States."

Well, this camera was working

NOT!! a clip from Starship Troopers

...a fine piece of solid, informative film-making, scoring a mighty one star out of five from appreciative Youtube viewers

the explanation of Sign #6 is my favourite

In other '
NOT!! a Clip from one of my favourite movies' news, any Kubrick fans with a taste for numerology will no doubt raise a knowing eyebrow on reading this story

hmmm, pre-emptive mass arrests...

Comedy Gold!!

It's late, I'm tired and I don't even know where to start with this post

I'll do the short version and maybe tidy it up later...

A year or so ago a 7/7 'Truth Video' called 7/7 Ripple Effect started appearing on all the usual Conspiraloon internet outlets

I hated it

Whilst it incorporated some solid research into the many weaknesses in the official 7/7 narrative, much of it apparently lifted from J7T, the film also included what I believed to be unsubstantiated speculation presented as fact

I didn't find myself liking the film any more when I discovered that the person behind it was a character who calls himself Muad'dib and who proclaims himself to be the Messiah ...and the Rightful King of England and Israel

Oh dear, yet another White Man with a God Complex

My concerns about 7/7 Ripple Effect turned to outright horror when I heard that Muad'dib was contacting 7/7 researchers and asking them to join in with him in a campaign to send his video to grieving relatives of 7/7 victims

Coincidentally, I also heard that the BBC Production team working on a 'documentary' on 7/7 Conspiracy Theorists was talking with Muad'dib, along with a denier of the Jewish holocaust called Nick Kollestrom.

The fact that wannabee Christ 2.0 Muad'dib had appeared on the 7/7 research scene about five minutes before talking with the BBC was, of course, in no way suspicious

To cut a long story short, everyone who I personally rate in the field of active 7/7 scepticism stuck a finger up to the BBC, Muad'dib and his dodgy little film

All went quiet

Well, I'll cut and paste the post I just put up on the Conspiraloon Alliance blog (J.A. Hill = Muad'dib)...

Muad'dib Update!!

"Gardai probe mail sent to extradition judges in J.A.H. Case
Dearbhail McDonald
Irish Independent
Sat, 11 Apr 2009 08:35 UTC

Gardai are investigating a series of packages sent to two Irish judges who have dealt with the case of an Englishman fighting extradition to Britain for posting DVDs to a British judge and jury.

The DVD, entitled '7/7 Ripple Effect' claims the 7/7 bombings in London were "an inside job".

High Court judge Mr Justice Michael Peart alerted the authorities after he received seven packages since March 19 last, some of which contained a DVD indicating that they related to the case of Sheffield born Anthony John Hill.

Mr Hill (60) is wanted to stand trial in the United Kingdom for perverting the course of public justice during a criminal trial relating to the 2005 attacks which killed 52 commuters, four suicide bombers and injured 700 others. If convicted Mr Hill, who claims he is the leader of a church known as The Way, faces up to life in prison.

The packages, which were unopened by Judge Peart, were posted from Finland, the US and Qatar. Another judge, who also dealt with Mr Hill's case following his arrest in Ireland on February 10, also received similar material by post.

Judge Peart, who last week ruled that Mr Hill should be extradited to Britain, said in his judgment that he wanted to express his disapproval of the actions of those who sought to send him material in the strongest possible terms and said it was "clearly an attempt" to influence his decision.

Mr Hill is currently in custody in an Irish prison and may appeal his extradition.

The DVDs, copies of which were also sent to five relatives of the victims, were intercepted by officials at Kingston Crown Court during the trial last year of people involved of assisting the 2005 bombings.

The film, widely available on the internet, blames the UK government and security services for the explosions in central London on July 7 2005. The filmmakers say the 7/7 bombers were innocent individuals who were duped into participating in what they thought was a training exercise.

The British authorities claim Mr Hill's fingerprints were found on packages sent from Ireland to the London-based judge and jury foreman in May and June 2008.

When arrested by gardai Mr Hill had €100,000 worth of gold bullion in krugerrand coins, the South African currency.

Mr Hill's lawyers, at an earlier hearing, requested that Judge Peart view the DVD, but the judge chose not to.

It's possibly worth noting that one of Muad'dib's followers has attempted to cadge 3,500 euros for Muad'dib's bail off the members of a UK 9/11 forum (a site I support in no sense of the word)

It's hard enough trying to increase awareness about the gaping holes in the official 7/7 narrative without having the difficulty of that task compounded by the apparently endless stream of bizarre characters who seem to go out of their way to reinforce the mainstream media's depiction of 'conspiracy theorists' as being nutty as squirrel shit with a boundless capacity to believe the most outrageous bollocks

And if I had 100,000 Euro in gold coins the last place I'd expect to keep hold of it is in the Land of the Little People

Now there's a surprise...

IPCC: CCTV wasn't working

and without wishing to reactivate a discussion which has already run its course, a quick glance at some of the more recent comments under Craig Murray's post on the subject of the Ian Tomlinson killing is one of many little signs that consciousness about the weaknesses of the official 7/7 narrative is on the up

Many people expressing scepticism about the official narrative are learning to express that scepticism in an intelligent, measured way - not pretending to have any definitive answers themselves and maintaining their emphasis on the weaknesses of the official account. That old Loontrap 'How do you think it was done then?' don't work as well as it used to

That we 'conspiracy theorists' (well, the sensible not neo Nazi ones anyway) are steadily winning the argument I have no doubt

Whether we are winning people over fast enough or not to make a difference before something really big and nasty is done I'm a little less confident

We are Legion

Good news!

The Daily Telegraph online is now completely infested and over-run by Conspiraloons!

Take the readers' comments underneath this current article for example...

The article poses the question..

"Let's assume for a moment that we are in the protean stages of a new world currency; that the G20's moves this time last week are laying the ground for its special drawing rights to replace the dollar as the international reserve currency. On that basis which of these two scenarios would you feel more uncomfortable with:

1. That a shadowy sect of global leaders are conspiring together to set up this new world currency; or that,

2. Instead, clueless politicians are sleepwalking into this, not knowing precisely what they are doing..."

...and surprise, surfuckingprise, the journowhore applies
Hanlon's Razor and concludes that cock-up not conspiracy, once again, is at work

The readers, on the other hand, have reached a contradictory and somewhat robustly expressed conclusion and I recommend browsing through the two pages of comments here and here...

"Of course the Bilderberg group is just a harmless collection of influential politicians and global bankers who like to meet up for Fairtrade coffee and a game of Scrabble isn't it? Isn't it?"

"watch out for the Freemasons.
You're just the kind of chap they'd like to get their hands on.
Mind how you go"

"They would love a one-world currency, but how do they get there? And is there one central bank that controls the others? Well, we are not privy to these secret dealings and if you were, well, they’d have to kill you."

"At school in the UK we are taught to not think. Independent thinking is dangerous and most people you know with this trait are punished fairly quickly in our country."

"Conspiracy does not preclude cock-up. It's a false dichotomy."

"As soon as the capstone of the NWO is hastily put in place (I say 'hastily' as they are now in a panic) it will begin to collapse. I give it no longer than the third Reich. So millions will die. What's new. But there will be vengeance as never before seen ... We don't care. You cannot wipe us all out as we are legion. You, too, are on a list. You are on our lists, you bankers and politicians, you corporate journalists, you Con Coughlins and Dominic Lawsons. You members of Bilderberg, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the UN, Nato, you MEPs, you Common Purpose traitors - you are all known; and when we at last come for you, 1789 will look like a fecking tea-party."

now there's a cheery thought

Having a bad day officer?

One of your boys got caught on video doing something he wasn't supposed to?

Someone died?

State Broadcaster unable to bury the story along with the unfortunate victim?

Porkie pies not working?

If all else fails, how about trying this...

Thank you War on Terror. Is there no problem you cannot solve?

The Big Picture(s)

The most thought-provoking collection of G20 Protest pictures I've seen so far...

Boston Globe - The Big Picture

(caution - contains Big Pictures)

That's the future boys and girls. A future that the Establishment has been busy preparing for, whilst the majority of the population were gorging themselves on crap, which they now have to pay for, and the minority of us who saw this coming were being dismissed as mentally unwell

Both Antagonist and Craig Murray are on the case

Craig Murray, in particular, appears to have gone totally berko in recent days and has laid into the Met, the British Government, the Israeli Government, the US Government, the EU, Nato and Tory bloggers. He also also raised the issue of agent provocateurs posing as Muslim and anti Capitalist protesters

I think someone must have upset him .

"Wonderboy has left a new comment on your post "Don't hold your breath but...":

Question to all:

In the interests of tackling non-falsifiability, what would this footage have to show you to convince you that events of 7/7 were, pretty much, as narrative?"

That's a damn good question and one I always try and remember to ask myself whenever discussing alternative accounts of how the world works

I was fingerprinted for the first time in my life last week, as a transit passenger flying through the US on the way back to Britain.

Get off plane. Stand in a queue for 90 minutes. Get fingerprinted. Get back on plane.

The parallels with the imagery of people waiting to be processed into camps did not escape me

I'm still fuming about it

All in the name of that Bullshit War on Terror and those Bullshit Official Narratives

My intuition tells me with all its might that this entire business is a wicked, manufactured lie but that's no excuse to put my brain into neutral and accept any old crap just because it fits in with my gut feelings

First off, my own doubts about the Official 7/7 Narrative are not based on any one fact, or absence of fact

So, on its own, there's nothing that 7/7 footage could show which would convince me that Official Narrative is totally truthful

The withheld 7/7 footage might support that part of the Official Narrative to which it directly relates, but no more

One thing I am pretty sure of is that footage has been held back for more than three years

Which is strange

The authorities are so keen to advocate the benefits of CCTV surveillance that they usually fall over themselves in their haste to publish CCTV footage

So, there's something about that 7/7 video which has given the Establishment reason to hold it back

The reason which has been given, as I understand it, is that the footage is part of an ongoing investigation

Which is more than likely bollocks

All the (alleged) perpetrators are dead and even if there are any still left alive there's a pretty good chance they don't need to consult CCTV tapes to recall what they did or where they were that day

No, there's a very good possibility that the withheld 7/7 footage includes material that the Establishment doesn't want us mugs to see

I don't have an alternative 7/7 narrative and I don't claim to have unpublished material which supports any alternative narrative.

The burden should be on those who are using an Official Narrative (backed by unreleased alleged evidence) to support shit like this...

and this.. prove their story beyond reasonable doubt

They absolutely have not

though they have employed every slimy trick in the book to give the illusion that they have.

There's been no 7/7 inquiry or trial and there has been repeated and systematic misrepresentation of 7/7 related 'evidence' in the corporate media

The release of all relevant CCTV material from 7/7 held by the authorities would go some some way to rectifying the lack of evidence which supports the Official Narrative, but only a little way

And to fellow Loons who might feel the temptation to argue that 3 years is plenty long enough to fabricate 7/7 footage using the latest CGI technology I suggest checking out any recent Hollywood blockbuster to see just how shite CGI still is - why else do you reckon high def OBL videos are in such short supply?

Best of the Bunch

It's IMF Comedy GOLD!!

Britain should not fear asking for IMF cash

Britain should not be afraid or ashamed of taking money from the International Monetary Fund, a senior Cabinet minister has told the Daily Telegraph.

The previous Labour Government's bail-out by the IMF in 1976 was seen as a national humiliation and helped sweep the party from power for 18 years.

A senior Cabinet minister said, however, that the new fund would not be like the 1970s version and should not be seen as such. He said there would be nothing wrong if America or Britain used the facility.

He said: "Previously a country would only go if they were in a very bad state. It was a bit like going to accident and emergency to get urgent help.

"This new facility will not be like that. It is a bit more like getting wellbeing care or even like going to a spa to recuperate."

Hmmm, now let me guess, which senior British Cabinet Minister could that possibly be?

The time to start stocking up on sacks of dogfood and matches is close at hand...

Don't hold your breath but...

"Police have been ordered to release footage of the 7/7 bombers following a freedom of information request by the Press Association.

The request for seven pieces of footage to be released has been ongoing for three years.

The images show the terrorists chatting, putting on rucksacks and buying snacks on their way to blow up trains on the London Underground.

The suicide bombings on 7 July 2005 killed 52 people in London.

The explosions caused by Mohammad Sidique Khan, Jermaine Lindsay, Shehzad Tanweer and Hasib Hussain also left hundreds injured..."

This could be interesting

And an Establishment Gold Star for the State Broadcasting Company for including the mandatory, cut and paste, 'The suicide bombings on 7 July 2005 killed 52 people in London' line, as if anyone has forgotten.

And another a Gold Star to the the SBC for being able to unequivocally identify the perpetrators of 7/7 without the need for any trial or investigation into the atrocity

Presumably the Beeb's taking the Met and Home Office's word for what happened

After all, it's not as if anyone in the Met or Home Office has been caught out lying about any murders recently

Does something about this scene stink? Or does something about this scene stink?

One of the above scenes was out of the control of, and scared the shit out of, the Powers That Be.

The other wasn't, and didn't

If I had more time I'd wax lyrically and extensively about why yesterday's G20 protests in London were so very, very shit

But I haven't, so I won't

The short answer is that, here in Blighty anyway, opposition to the UK and Global Establishment is fragmented and lacking in a coherent ideology like never before.

None of which happened by accident

And, outside of beliefs which are discounted as conspiracy theorizing, there isn't even the faintest sign of any such coherent ideology developing in the foreseeable future

In the UK anyway

Other countries are less irredeemably fucked

I'm pretty damned certain that the Germans, or the Italians, and definitely the French or the Greeks would have put on a better show

There's a very good reason why the UK has been turned into the CCTV capital of the World

We let Them

A nice illustration of just how fucked up things are was the police behaviour at the 'climate camp' yesterday.

Not only did the police go in harder against climate protesters, holding their hands in the air chanting 'this is not a riot, this is not a riot', than they did against the shills/ muppets at the RBS window-breaking photo opportunity, those climate protesters were actually unknowingly supporting the eugenicist, carbon-taxing agenda of the same people who ultimately control the police anyway

Heads I win, tails you lose

No - coherent - opposing - ideology

Totally, totally fucked

However, looking on the bright side...

edit: though this forum posting on the subject of yesterday's demos made me laugh...
