For fans of 9/11, 7/7 and Zionist Space Lizards only...

I came across that ‘How Conspiratorial Are You?’ test I mentioned a few posts back in the context of an on-line discussion about a BBC documentary on 9/11 Conspiracy Theories being aired tomorrow.

And it doesn’t require spooky paranormal powers to predict that the documentary will follow the now tired old format of all its countless predecessors…

• Cherry pick some of the more loopy ideas out there
• Acknowledge the existence of some of the less loopy ideas but misrepresent them with the aid of selectively edited interviews
• Chuck in, almost as an afterthought somewhere, historical connections between conspiracy theories and racism
• A clip of someone accusing conspiracy theorists of being disrespectful to the dead
  
• Cap it all by wheeling on a psychologist spouting some psychobabble that anyone who doubts official accounts is essentially suffering from a mental condition

The one thing these shows never do is focus on people who have solid questions but don’t pretend to have any answers. That would be too tricky to manage…

‘Come on you must have some ideas’

‘Only speculations. Too much information has been held back to be really sure what happened’

9/11 happened on the other side of the Atlantic and to be honest there isn’t very much people on this side of the Pond can do about it. But I have met with a couple of the more commited 7/7 researchers here in the UK and spent a fair amount of time chatting with them. As far as I can tell they are most definitely neither a) mad, nor b) racist

Far from it

That's not to say that there aren't mad racist people associated with 7/7 and 9/11 activism. There are mad racist racist people in most walks of life. It would be easy enough to do a TV documentary on mad racist dentists, or mad racist BBC documentary producers, or even mad racist Muslim extremists - all you have to do is look hard enough and be selective in your presentation

I mentioned Karl Popper a couple of posts back. Popper was very big on scientists doing everything they could to disprove their own pet theories and phrasing those theories in such a way that they were open to such testing before announcing them to the world.

This has always struck me as a reasonable way to go about things.

Personally, I don’t want to believe things that are demonstrable bollocks and I would be grateful to anyone who can put me straight. Though I’d rather they refrained from accusing me of being an insane, closet Nazi whilst doing so

Which is why, I have absolutely no problem with sites like this one devoted to challenging some of the ‘facts’ commonly used to support 9/11 conspiracy theories. Unlike all of the hit pieces in the mainstream media devoted to 9/11 conspiracies this site appears to at least try to be objective. It would be great it if someone did something similar for 7/7, given that the official government narrative is such a pile of shit and omits so much it practically invites speculation. I have no doubt that someone else could do a better job of laying out the 'Official Account' of 7/7 and I would welcome any attempt to do so.

Contrary to the junk psychology put out by organisations like the BBC, I would love for my doubts and concerns about 9/11 or 7/7 to be disproved. Those doubts and concerns don’t gratify me in any kind of way, however perverse, and I would much rather live in a world where I believed that everything was just fucking peachy.

Some 9/11 and 7/7 ‘truthseekers’ have issues with all conspiracy debunking sites as a matter of principle and argue that they are published by government shills looking to spread disinformation. The problem with that line of thinking is that by doing so they are playing exactly the same game as those who accuse all 9/11 and 7/7 ‘truthseekers’ of being nutters.

And whilst I have no doubt that there are opportunists, nutters, shills and racists out there I also believe that there are plenty of well-intentioned, moderately sane people out there, on both sides of 9/11, 7/7 and other issues who just want to get at the truth.

But, sadly, I’m buggered if I can think of a way to bring them together

In fact, Mr Spock's trademark hand gesture and greeting 'Live long and prosper' is a straight rip off of a traditional Jewish greeting. Which probably means that Vulcans are Jewish too. I know this because for at least a handful of my teenage years I was labouring under the impression that it was the other way round and that, for some unknown reason, some of the Jewish people I knew had taken to doing really bad Mr Spock impressions...

What does all this signify? The answer is, I suspect, absolutely nothing at all. Not a sodding thing...
