Today's reading from The Good Book

Chapter. 35

"Milo had been caught red-handed in the act of plundering his countrymen, and, as a result, his stock had never been higher. He proved as good as his word when a rawboned major from Minnesota curled his lip in rebellious disavowal and demanded his share of the syndicate Milo kept saying everybody owned. Milo met the challenge by writing the words 'A Share' on the nearest scrap of paper and handing it away with a virtuous disdain that won the envy and admiration of virtually everyone who knew him."

I'm quite disappointed that someone more artistically gifted than me hasn't circulated a new look Northern Rock share certificate on the Internet yet - but the day is still young I suppose...

I regret that I was unable to sell my share to Lady Patel at the breakfast table ths morning... just more of my worthless hsit I was told.

However goaded by your suggestions of sloth I am working on it.

As luck would have it I am decorating the bathroom at present and I have found a handy roll of paper to print them on , which is perforated so each share can be readily dispensed.

Expect one in the post, plus a fee for advice, originating the issue forging Milo Minderbenders signature etc.,

just to make sure that I knew the secret of DD's plane crash I just took a quick peek at the imdb trivia section for the movie which included such pub-quiz friendly pearls as...

# The film has no original musical score

# This is the first American film to show an actor on the toilet - Martin Balsam, playing opposite 'Anthony Perkins' . Ten years earlier, the first American film to show a toilet was Psycho (1960)... starring Martin Balsam and 'Anthony Perkins'...

the DVD has been added to the wishlist, thx
