and I know I said I wasn't going to mirror the J7 Inquest blog, post by post, but I couldn't resist the urge to post a link to this

...of course, that clip was produced back in the 70s

Any attempt at a neo-realistic portrayal of policing in London in the 21st Century would now probably start off with something more like this

Orwell prize is by self-nomination.

Nothing like a bit of good old lawful killing.

if you work for the Met they're all lawful

I seen a peanut stand, heard a rubber band
I seen a needle that winked its eye
But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything
When I see Max Hastings write an article highly critical of armed policemen that goes completely against the grain of his usual readership

Quite. Who'd have thunk it?

From 'minimal force' to terminal force in two throws of die that turn up any two of: six and one | five and two | four and three.

If they're not lawful killings, nobody's quite sure what they are, after the judge instructs them that's the sternest thing they can decide.

"Suicide by cop" has been invented as the method of choice for mentallists who fancy going out with a few headlines to commemmorate the occasion.

An equal opportunities killer. Women, blacks and the elderly welcome.

Wow. Intersting. V.v. intersting. And even more so that the police have no apparent(public) investigation into the possibility of involvement of anyone else despite the fact the footage strongly suggests otherwise.

At best, they may have 'overlooked' the/any significance of the Jag, but it is clearly significant and demands investigation.

If the Jag car was a handler (govt terrorist as opposed to non-govt terrorist) one might posit they would have scruitinized the footage very closely before public release and they would/should have cut the footage so that the Jag isn't shown.... that is unless it is very small unit that's operating on the fringe, who couldn't edit it (or get involved with the editing process) for risk of exposing themselves. These SAS sods are a bit of a law unto themselves. I've often thought there would be small units like this whereby the motto is 'the ends justify the means'.

Now that this has been publicised, if TPTB don't investigate this then it would be a disgrace. - but a disgrace is what I expect.

It should be possible to 'chase' this Jag on other CCTV.

Wonder what the official report says about the cars left behind when the showcase controlled explosions were done, and how I wonder what CCTV of other days show. i.e. was it only 28/6 and 7/7 where the Jag is shown - parked in a very remote spot?

Given the different timings of the 'dummy run' and the 'actual day' the likelyhood of a connection is strengthened.

Jags arn't cheap! Not many 'home grown' terrorists would have such wheels.

"Whilst we have no evidence to suggest that there is anything sinister about the coincidental movements of a dark-coloured Jaguar at Luton station on the mornings of both 28 June 2005" I disagree for reasons given above.

Some simple observations...

at 06:49:46 - there is what appears to be a Jaguar on Station Road driving away from the camera. Here's a Google map link to the same area: http://tinyurl.com/33vfzn8. The 'colour' does seem to be consistent with the Jag in the car park.

From Google map, it looks like one can turn left into the car park by proceeding down Station Road in the same direction the Jag is going. The 88s gap allows for the possibility that the 06:49:46 "Station road Jag" is the one in the car park. In other words, if the gap in the footage was 5s then the 'Jag' on station road could not have been the one parked in the car park.

As to where the Jag is parked, it seems quite unnecessarily far from the apparent station walk-over to the entrance, and in a pretty 'quiet' area of the car park. An unusual place perhaps to park such a fancy car (unless one is inside the car e.g. 28 June 8:08am)

The Jag is parked in the last bay [the closest to the camera, furthest from the station] of 6 (7 max) preceding parking bays parallel to the road, each of which are more closer to the station entrance.
