Welcome back to Grate Britain

"Welcome back though – you’ve just come back for next week’s violence haven’t you – you miss it really, don’t you. Last week I was thinking of taking a day off and attending the violence personally, but my foot has put paid to that. I also would not be able to run away from the violence properly. Will your Wednesday/Thursday be flavoured with violence, mano-mano, on the streets, with a camera?"

Ah, I see you picked up on the G20 story Stef. One wonders if this will be a test for martial law and other repressive measures, as well as demonising any legitimate dissent..

just a little

and, hypothetically speaking, if I were to engage in a struggle against a state I wouldn't...

a) employ the tactics of the state i.e. violence

or

b) wage that struggle in a place and time of the state's choosing

Well, we're not at the point where a) should be necessary. That said, I've got no problem with someone killing agents of the state in self-defence if the situation merits it.

As for b) - well I think we're dealing with the controlled opposition to some extent, at least with the "left" groups.

it would be funny though wouldn't it?

all the police waiting in London and half a million demonstrators turn up somewhere else

police tactics do appear to becoming even more sophisticated - instead of going to the effort of losing/ wiping incriminating CCTV tapes after the event they're simply turning the cameras off before anyone gets accidentally shot/ beaten up/ blown up...

Ahead of G20 summit, council told to switch off illegal £15m CCTV network

@p

what an outstanding article!!

I hadn't seen that thanks

World class eco-twats like David de Mayer Rothschild are way ahead of the curve on this one and have already invested in extensive plantations in NZ

The only problem, of course, is that your average Kiwi is more car dependent and less energy conscious than your average American.

Absolutely the only reason why New Zealanders aren't choking on their own shit in the same way the rest of us are is the much lower population density

A population density difference being rapidly closed by increasing numbers of middle class immigrant fantasists turning up at Christchurch airport dressed like Indiana Jones

"Among them are Lizzy and Mike Larmer-Cottle who have moved their family from London to Albany, half an hour north of Auckland on North Island, surrounded by rolling hills and beaches.

Britain’s recent climate of summer droughts and warm, wet winters was becoming alarming, said Lizzy. She added: “England was just having more and more flooding — if that continues, half of it is going to be underwater.”

presumably no-one mentioned to the Larmer-Cottles that NZ is located slap bang on top of a major fault zone ande prone to the occasional tsunami

NZ has become a total cock magnet

sad to say

The Czech Republic looks appealing, if only for the lower taxation\living costs...

Interesting post from Mind Hacks, "Symbol of remembrance triggers mass false memory: "

It is about the Bologna bombing and the London bombing.

Anti_NWO said...

@gyges

State propaganda probably helped that along...

I saw this article in one of the blogs that I read and thought, not of highway fatalities and lemons, but of the climate 'hockey stick' graph.

Or the efficacy of pharamceutical drugs?

"Demonstrators launched missiles and forced their way into the bank after clashes with police in the capital. A branch of HSBC also had windows broken.

Twenty-two people were arrested and some police and protesters injured."

Seems like the riots have already begun. Bank branches smashed up and objects thrown at police. No prizes for guessing who the latecomers in black are...

Note the use of the word "missiles" in place of "beer cans" etc.
