The Lure of the Patsy

Lee Harvey Fawkes Faux

I'd like to expand on a couple of points I have made underneath my previous post

In that post I linked to the closing minutes of the sequel to '7/7 Ripple Effect', a film called 'The Nazi Bankers' Crimes - Ripple Effect'. The film ends with a call for the viewer to embrace the producer of the film as The Messiah, accompanied by scenes from the film 'V for Vendetta'

I have repeatedly expressed concerns that the intention behind the entire '7/7 Ripple Effect' project was to promote the messianic pretensions of the person who claims to be its producer and, to that end, '7/7 Ripple Effect' was constructed to appeal to those looking for fables to believe in, rather than those inclined to sceptism. In short, the target market was people capable of unquestioning religious faith. The punchline of the latest ‘Ripple Effect’ film bears this out, in spades

Ultimately, whether this distraction is actively sponsored by the (in)security services, whether shady characters are contributing no more than the occasional helpful nudge, or whether this is solely the work of a wannabe Christ figure and a handful of followers is neither here nor there. The Muad'dib 'op' is a distraction from the research which has torn the Official 7/7 Narrative apart and it assists the corporate media in portraying all ‘conspiracy theorists’ as credulous whackjobs, and not just some of them

And then there’s this whole Guy Fawkes/ V for Vendetta thing which is enjoying much more widespread support and exposure than any scepticism about the Official 7/7 Narrative

I've never liked 'V' very much, which puts me in the same camp as the author of the graphic novel on which it is based, Alan Moore

When I first saw the film I couldn’t quite put my finger on why it bothered me as much as it did. Some initial reading up on my part revealed that the lead actress in the film cited the life of Menachem Begin as an inspiration for her role, which was a clue that at least some of motivations behind the movie were a little short of the pacifistic anarchist ideal (I guess she skipped the chapter on Deir Yassin)

Even if you were to overlook the unsound elements in the film, and I’ll get back to them in a moment, the Guy Fawkes myth itself is deeply unsound

I remember as I young kid not being able to see the connection between the story of Guy Fawkes and the tradition of burning a ‘guy’. I knew Fawkes had been hung so what was the deal with throwing effigies of him on a fire?

And then one night, from underneath a blanket, I saw 'The Wicker Man' and the penny dropped. A little later I found out about the ancient festival of Samhain and the penny resumed its descent. People had been making a racket, lighting fires and burning effigies at the start of Winter for millennia

What ‘The State’ had done was to have co-opted a long-standing festival and transformed it into a celebration of its own perpetuation and glory. It is one thing to stick a Christian church on the site of a pagan temple, an altogether more powerful and enduring stroke of genius to hijack a tradition. If done right the results can outlast any building

Digging even deeper into the Bonfire Night 'celebration', there are plenty of reasons to suspect that the ‘Gunpowder Plot’ itself was a fabrication, that the plot was an example of state-sponsored false flag terror and Fawkes a patsy. The Elizabethan/ Jacobean state demonstrated on many occasions that it was more than capable of such intrigue. Except back then it was Catholics who served the role of the ‘Enemy Within (and without)’ now filled by Muslims

The irony that protesters today might be drawn to a patsy myth is compounded by the fact that even though they, almost without exception, pay homage to the meme of non violent revolution they, again almost without exception, refer to the imagery promoted in a corporate-produced, big budget motion picture which is violent to the core

For a film which is lauded by supposed proponents of passive resistance, 'V for Vendetta' does depict, with relish, an awful lot of people being stabbed, poisoned, blown up and shot

Of course, most knife vs. gun fights turn out as expected but you're more than welcome, positively encouraged, to try

The Fawkes story is an establishment-promoted myth and that myth's most widely hyped contemporary manifestation promises, Hollywood style, that all 'we' have to do is kill the bad guy or blow up the Death Star and everything's going to be just fucking peachy

Personally, I doubt it

Ho hum, maybe in 400 years time 'anti-capitalist' (sic.) protesters will be wearing Mohamed Atta masks to demos...

And the Orwell Prize for Journalism 2010 goes to...

-

and if George's counter-intuitive contradiction of what he and others have been claiming for years is a little difficult to swallow, here's some independent corroboration of George's new 'Cold is Warm' paradigm from some twunt who doesn't understand how fridges work...

With All This Global Warming, Why is it So Cold?
Eric Haxthausen

"The explanation that is gaining currency among climate scientists is that low levels of Arctic sea ice during the summer are causing more heat to be absorbed in the Arctic during the fall, and changing atmospheric circulation pattern, driving cold Arctic air into Europe and the Eastern United States and funneling warm air up into the Arctic regions.

This warm Arctic-cold continents pattern is likened to leaving the refrigerator door open. The room gets colder but the fridge warms up."

-

Fortunately, there is, however, a planet-saving solution at hand.

Scrolling near to the bottom of this page of real-time UK electricty production stats, you can see that windfarms are contributing something like a mighty 0.1% of the UK's current electricty needs...

Which means that if the UK government sticks something like £300,000-500,000 a year on the average household's energy bill and gives that money to the aristocracy to build lots of lovely new windmills on 'their' land the British will have done their bit to keep global climate exactly the same as it was 20 years ago, for ever

Ooops, that's just for the electricity and doesn't include natural gas, heating oil and petrol consumption. Better make that £1,000,000+ per year per household.

And, obviously, the UK wouldn't have to build quite so many wind farms if we constructed a national grid of rechargeable batteries the size of Battersea Power Station to store up energy when its really windy so we can use it when it's not really windy

-

It's easy enough to believe that AGW Climate Change prophets like George Monbiot are essentially decent, well-meaning types who haven't quite thought things through. I'd be a lot more convinced if they weren't rich, hypocritical fuckers who are wealthy enough not to suffer from, and will actually profit from, the consequences of the corrupt 'solutions' they are advocating

Media BS Masterclass #23 - Setting up a couple of frosty ones

For many years the UK Gold Standard for 'chilling' imagery was this picture of Myra Hindley...

Not being old enough to recollect the
Moors Murders the only thing I found immediately chilling about that photo was the choice of haircut and unflattering lighting

For the generations that did remember the murders, however, this was an extremely emotive photo and became legendary as a cheap, Pavlovian way to boost newspaper sales on a slow day, through the simple technique of fabricating the flimsiest of pretexts to stick the Hindley portrait somewhere on the front page

And, after I learned a little about the Moors Murders, I could concede that, yes, you could convince yourself that there was something intrinsically evil about Hindley's expression if you were so inclined

But, to be honest, the image itself really was no more intrinsically 'chilling' than any other crap portrait taken of a woman with a crap haircut in the mid 1960s

-

Which is my roundabout way of introducing the much more contemporary issue of what is the State and its supportive media whores to do when there is fuck all in the way of video evidence that ties the alleged 7/7 bombers into the actual bombings?

Imagine that you've secured a mound of totally innocuous video of the alleged 7/7 bombers going about their daily business, no different to the mound of innocuous footage you could gather on any other citizen of these over-surveilled isles but, thanks to a series of incredibly unlikely mishaps, you have no actual, for want of a more respectful phrase, money shots

How do you attempt to convince Jane and Joe Public that the footage you are going to try and sell to them as being hard evidence of terroristic wrong-doing is not actually banal and irrelevant?

Various dodges have been tried - showing undated footage not taken on 7/7 at the same time as a voice-over talks about 7/7 is one, referring to 'iconic images' of ecstatic bombers hugging each other that don't actually exist has been another, but none have been so heavily used as the old classic...

Describe any old irrelevant toss as being 'chilling'

Don't quite get what I'm on about? Do a couple of Google searches for terms like '7/7 Bombers Chilling' or '7/7 Chilling Photographs', read a few of the results and see if any of the material described as 'chilling' is anything but irrelevant and/ or innocuous

Here's one of my personal favourites...

and a couple more chilling images...

and not forgetting this chilling footage here

as I'm sure you'll appreciate, there are plenty of other examples out there

Make no mistake, whenever you see or hear the word 'chilling' used in a news story, the person behind that story thinks that you, your mum, all your family, your friends, your neighbours, everyone you've ever cared for in this life, are all thick as pig shit and are stupid enough to be sold any old codswallop, given the right subliminal prompts

-

edit: and in the context of BS news stories attempting to weave evidence of murderous intent out of the irrelevant and mundane, the first half of this Daily Mail article...

...is so ridiculous as to be surreal

I know we're talking the Daily Mail here but surely at least some of its regular readers have enough intelligence to comprehend that it is being insulted

Surely?

I Can't Believe It's Not a Proper Inquest!! pt4

Given that the J7 team are doing an excellent job of analysing the material generated by the 7/7 Inquest over at their dedicated blog J7: 7/7 Inquests Blog, I do not intend to duplicate their effort by posting my own version of their work.

I may, however, make occasional posts on issues that I wish to amplify or offer a slightly different take on

The latest post on the J7 Inquests Blog discusses the evidence that there may been more than four people in the group of alleged bombers that visited London on 7/7, and the off-hand treatment of that evidence by 7/7 Inquest officials...

A commentator underneath one of my recent posts seemed to think that because I and others have issues with the absence of relevant CCTV material that maybe we are under the impression that the four alleged bombers didn't visit London on 7/7.

Nope

There could just as easily have been five, or six, or zero, or, yes, even four bombers who travelled down to London by train on the morning of 7/7

I haven't the faintest idea

That's my problem with the Official Narrative

The only alternative theory I am promoting is that I think the Official 7/7 Narrative is currently unsupported by evidence of a quality that would secure a criminal conviction 'beyond reasonable doubt'

and that's putting it mildly

-

Additional 7/7 Inquest analyses that people have made me aware of since my last post include...

Terror on the Tube

Thanks to the commentator who pointed me to Nick Kollerstrom's posting on the 7/7 Inquest. Dr Nick has admittedly assisted with some useful research on 7/7, particularly in establishing that the original version of the Official 7/7 Narrative had the alleged bombers travelling to London on a train that didn't run. An all the more impressive performance from the Official Narrative given that it also alluded to witnesses on that non-existent train

I do, however, have a major problem with the quality of Dr Nick's judgment. Not least the fact that he decided to diversify into a spot of Jewish holocaust revisionism where he put his name to an article which implied that Auschwitz was some kind of Nazi Butlins; complete with swimming pool, water polo and picture postcards. An article that the mainstream and controlled alternative media got righteously steamed up about just before Dr Nick offered himself up for selectively-edited sacrifice by the BBC's Conspiracy Files

Wish You Were There?
Nazi Slave Labour Camps - The Kollerstrom View

Out of respect to the useful work that he has done, I'll link to Dr Nick's current posting on the 7/7 Inquest but I won't be including his site on any permanent link listings, as he has demonstrated that he is more than capable of pulling off feats of outstanding foolishness at the drop of a hat

Personally speaking, I may, on occasions, attempt to use crude humour or a superficially flippant style when writing about issues such as 7/7 but I never forget that this is a serious business and that 56 people died violent deaths on 7/7. This is not some abstract intellectual entertainment and to even hope to achieve some kind of positive result I believe that we sceptics have to educate ourselves to exercise good judgment and common sense

...as demonstrated by Keelan Balderson, producer of 7/7 The Big Picture, over at Wideshut.co.uk

Keelan's just put out a podcast containing a reasoned critique of the 7/7 Inquest (the 7/7 material starts 20 minutes in). The podcast, like 7/7 The Big Picture, is a little rough around the edges but nevertheless contains good information and reasoning. It is clear that Keelan is working hard towards developing an evidence-based analytical approach that tries to avoid the flights of fancy that have been attributed to Conspiraloons in the past

Tom Secker, the producer of another indepedent 7/7 Documentary, Seeds of Deconstruction is another researcher who seems to me to be trying to exercise critical judgment in his handling of the 7/7 material. Tom's take on the 7/7 Inquest thus far can be found over at his blog Howard Beale's News Hour

By their forensic nature, the articles I've linked to above are quite long and detailed. As such they illustrate one of the dilemmas faced by independent researchers who are sceptical of government narratives

If those researchers perform painstaking, meticulous research they are accused of being pedantic, train-spotter types who waste their lives teasing out the kind of tiny inconsistancies that even a completely honest narrative would contain

If those researchers don't perform painstaking, meticulous research they are then subject to the kind of bullshit typified by this comment from an anonymous bell-end underneath a link to J7 on the Indymedia site...

"18.10.2010 14:42
Most of your claims around 77 were around pulling apart the original and sparse CCTV released but now there has been a wealth of it been released your claims are meaningless. All these theories trickle down from Alex Jones, David Icke and others who make a lot of money from books, DVDs and lecture tours. You accuse people of being sheep for following 'mainstream media' but then you get your information from the likes of Infowars a site that tells its readers they need guns and gold to protect themselves, and they happen to sell it! Sorry Troofers, 911 was an outside job, 77 was an outside job. PS Just because you put the word 'truth' on your websites and in the name of your groups doesn't mean it is true."

J7 doesn't plug guns and gold. I don't plug guns and gold. None of us rely on Jones or Icke as primary sources. There is no wealth of CCTV, and the kind of person who posts mendacious nonsense like this is either a natural fucking idiot or a professional fucking idiot

And never, not once, in years of posting hundreds of sceptical articles have I had to resort to misrepresenting the views of people I disagree with. I may be off the mark with some of the views I hold but if that ever turns out to be the case I would have been honestly wrong and I have not lied to others, or myself.

And if I ever found myself behaving in that way I hope I'd be honest enough to ask myself what kind of Truth it is I pretend to be defending through the application of misrepresentation and deceit

I Can't Believe It's Not a Proper Inquest!! pt3

Twenty or thirty years ago, proceedings such as the ongoing 7/7 Inquest would have been subject to critical scrutiny by at least some journalists and politicians. Not necessarily because those journalists and politicians suspected a high-level State conspiracy but simply because that's what they were supposedly employed to do, to hold the State to account

In most other dimensions and universes this headline would be considered bollocks

Today, literally not a single paid journalist or politician is exercising any critical scrutiny over the 7/7 Inquest. An inquest into an event which has been used to justify a national commitment to overseas wars and torture, as well as the erosion of domestic civil liberties

Literally dozens of Terror Bastards tooling up for a campaign of bloody mayhem - or some people buying fish fingers. It's difficult to be sure

Over this last weekend a handful of, for want of a better adjective, ordinary people have been working through and analysing transcripts and other material generated by the 7/7 Inquest. These researchers are not being paid for their efforts and they are, in fact, reviled and accused of being mentally ill by the professional whores who should be doing that work

What a screwed up state of affairs we find ourselves in. We live in a time where the range of public discourse permitted to us by our Establishment has been so narrowed that the simple act of being sceptical of government narratives is now routinely dismissed as mental illness

Fuck them

Fuck them all

-

The folks at J7 have recently started a blog dedicated to their analysis of the material generated by the 7/7 Inquest

The first three posts are...

7 July Inquests: It's A Conspiracy, Stupid!

Which points out that the people running and taking part in the 7/7 Inquest are doing a stand-up job of attributing blame and apportioning guilt to the four alleged 7/7 bombers

...even though a) the Inquest has barely started, and b) the people running and taking part in the 7/7 Inquest have acknowledged that it is not the job of an inquest to attribute blame or apportion guilt anyway

A CCTV Fuss About Nothing?

Which ponders the question of how the Metropolitan Police could have been searching CCTV footage from Luton Station for signs of the alleged bombers one day before the Met had actually identified who the alleged bombers were and where they'd boarded their train. Maybe the Met is in on the secret of time travel?

The Final Curtain - "CCTV rich" to "CCTV FAIL!"

We Conspiranauts are well familiar with the long-established scientific principle that CCTV cameras spontaneously break-down whenever pointed at alleged terrorists carrying out their attacks or policemen shooting innocent people in the back of the head. However, there is still an almost comedic quality to the list of excuses, obsfucation and plain old bullshit that is being offered up by the Met in lieu of actual CCTV coverage from 7/7.

It's all vaguely reminiscent of Monty Python's Cheese Shop sketch - only the Met has got fuck all video evidence rather than cheese

At this rate of foul-ups the 7/7 Inquest is going to tie itself into terminal knots within a few weeks, regardless of however compliant the mainstream media continue to be. Presumably this will have been anticipated and corrective measures will be employed. Such a state of affairs was reached in the weeks after 7/7 when even the mainstream press started to question the suicide bomber narrative. At which point one, then two, 'confession' videos fortuitously emerged on the web and all was right in Official Narrative Land once again

As well as the work being carried out by J7, the researcher behind wideshut.co.uk is also publishing some analysis

And that, aside from some comments posted on this blog, is about it as far as I'm aware of. I do miss Lord Patel's contributions, and Lord Patel, at times like this. If anyone passing through this blog knows of any other decent research (and I think it's fairly clear what I mean by decent) being carried out on the 7/7 Inquest material please do share

Nowhere to run to baby. Nowhere to hide... pt .47

I've already posted a link to the following story via a comment in a previous post. I think it's worth linking to because it illustrates a couple of things...

- The assault on personal freedoms being made in the name of the bullshit 'War on Terror' is truly global

- If there aren't any Muslims on hand to justify the establishment of a police state framework virtually anyone else will do. And if they're not scary enough they're encouraged to be a bit scarier

Anti-terror squad spies on protest groups
By NICKY HAGER and ANTHONY HUBBARD
Sunday Star Times | Sunday, 14 December 2008

Police teams set up to identify terrorism threats and risks to national security are spying on protest and community groups, including Greenpeace, animal rights and climate change campaigners, and Iraq war protesters.

Police officers from the Special Investigation Group (SIG) have carried out surveillance and used a paid informer to gather information not just about planned protests but the personal lives and sexual relationships of group members.

The police informer, Christchurch man Rob Gilchrist, whose activities are revealed in today's Sunday Star-Times, was a key member of various community groups during the past decade.

He helped arrange protests and was close friends with leading campaigners, and advocated radical and illegal activities by the groups.

Last week he said he was embarrassed and sorry for what he did. The people he spied on were not security threats. "I know they are good people trying to make a better world."

Wellington human rights lawyer Michael Bott said the surveillance of peaceful groups was repugnant and "has shades of Big Brother and Soviet Russia". Surveillance of the personal lives of members of peaceful groups meant the basic right to privacy was being eroded. "It just appears fundamentally abusive and wrong."

Gilchrist was unmasked recently when his animal rights and Labour Party activist girlfriend Rochelle Rees was helping him fix his computer. She stumbled across signs of him passing information about protest groups to an anonymous email address.

This address has since been traced to two SIG officers based at the Christchurch central police station, Detective Peter Gilroy and Detective Sergeant John Sjoberg. Gilchrist privately referred to them as "Uncle Pete" and "Uncle John".

Melbourne newspaper The Age reported a similar case three months ago, where an undercover police officer had infiltrated community groups. He worked in Animal Liberation Victoria, taking part in a midnight raid on a battery hen farm, and helped organise anti-Iraq war demonstrations.

He worked for Australia's similarly named Security Intelligence Group, which is also officially focused on terrorism...

There is, of course, just a little bit of irony about state operatives monitoring NZ Greenpeace for terrorist tendencies when you recall that Greenpeace itself was the victim of state sponsored terrorism when French government agents blew up the Rainbow Warrior twenty years ago

Not that states, especially western democracies, ever actually sponsor terrorism and even if they did we'd know all about every single terrorist act they ever sponsored because we'd read about it in the newspapers. Definitely

Compulsory Redundancy

Hot off the Press from Conspiraloon Alliance Central...

Mr Rauf before he was given his jotters

'Suspected' terrorist and 'alleged matermind' Rashid Rauf is 'reported' to have been killed by 'a suspected United States drone', the guardian cautiously informs us.

A great blow in the war on terror or merely a lightening of the load on our over burdened public purse?

Which ever it is, it seems we will now never know the shocking, chilling truth behind the transatlantic liquid bombing plot which our government has so singularly failed to prove existed.

It is hard for the civilised human mind to encompass this man's awesome potential for destruction. What kind of evil genius could carry out such an enterprise? What crazy plans was he hatching as he wandered in and out of police custody?

It is our tragedy that a monster of his talents worked for our enemies.

If only we had people like that on our side!

Winter Patriot fills in the details of the West Midlands pimpernel far better than we, or the hated mainstream media, ever could.

Mainstream Conspiraloons #632 - Peter Hitchens

A lifetime membership of the Conspiraloon Alliance and a Croix de Loon with honeynut tinfoil clusters are winging their way towards none other than 'the Hitch'...

"It's the creepy plotters who rule us we should really be scared of

Last updated at 1:28 AM on 14th September 2008

There is no such organisation as ‘Al Qaeda’. The spooks know this, Cabinet Ministers know this and so do the ‘security correspondents’ who so readily trot out the spooks’ point of view on our broadcasting networks.

Of course, there are terrorists, and there are also fantasists, fanatics, low-lifes and camp followers who plot and attempt horrible things. Some of them even call themselves ‘Al Qaeda’ these days because they have learned that this is a good way to scare us.

But, while they are a menace, they are not as big or as organised a menace as the Government likes to make out..."

Hark, is that the sound of pennies dropping in Middle England I can hear in the far (far) off distance?

Still, Hitchler is light years ahead of most mainstream 'Leftist' commentators and bloggers - they're still trundling out the same old 'War on Terror Friendly™' bullcrap packaged as Civil Liberties campaigning, day in day out

Mr Hitchens, the Alliance salutes you

Well, some of the time anyway

edit: and FW(little)IW here's the comment I've submitted (in response to an especially ignorant, Pavlovian comment from someone else) under Hitchens' article

"Shortly after the 7/7 attacks Metropolitan Police Commissioner Ian Blair explained to a press conference...

"Al Qaeda is not an organization. Al Qaeda is a way of working ... but this has the hallmark of that approach ... Al Qaeda clearly has the ability to provide training ... to provide expertise ... and I think that is what has occurred here"

Anyone who can take that kind of nonsense on board is a much more eligible candidate for a course of medication and believing in bigfoot

...and belief in a bearded terror mastermind controlling a multinational crime network from a secret base in a hollowed out mountain somewhere. A base that the most technologically advanced nation on Earth has been unable to locate in seven years"

I await the results of comment moderation with bated breath

What a lot of balls

Based on a couple of recommendations, I've just picked up a copy of this book...

Flat Earth News

An award-winning reporter exposes falsehood, distortion and propaganda in the global media

"Finally I was forced to admit that I work in a corrupted profession." When award-winning journalist Nick Davies decided to break Fleet Street's unwritten rule by investigating his own colleagues, he found that the business of truth had been slowly subverted by the mass production of ignorance.

Working with a network of off-the-record sources, Davies uncovered the story of the prestigious Sunday newspaper which allowed the CIA and MI6 to plant fiction in its columns; the daily newsroom where senior reporters casually refer to 'nig nogs' and where executives routinely reject stories about black people; the respected quality paper which was so desperate for scoops that it hired a conman to set up a front company to entrap senior political figures. He found papers supporting law and order while paying cash bribes to bent detectives and hiring private investigators to steal information.

Davies names names and exposes the national news stories which turn out to be pseudo events manufactured by the PR industry and the global news stories which prove to be fiction generated by a new machinery of international propaganda.

He shows the impact of this on a world where media consumers believe a mass of stories which, in truth, are as false as the idea that the Earth is flat - from the millennium bug to the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, tainting government policy, perverting popular belief.

One of the problems I understand that Nick Davies identifies is that journalists, even if they are pure of heart, no longer have the resources to expend on genuine investigative journalism.

Genuine investigative journalists may spend months or years pursuing a potential story with no certainty of a result worth publishing

Channel 4, for example, has become particularly adept at commissioning and knocking out trash documentaries which clearly took no more than a couple of weeks of Googling and a couple of days of filming on a high street somewhere to produce

The harsh reality of this kind of commercial pressure is, of course, one of the principal arguments used to justify those fuckers at Capita extorting £140 with menaces from every household to fund the BBC

It clearly doesn't work though, as the BBC produces the same kind of vacuous, superficial dross dressed up as investigative journalism as the commercial outlets.

In recent years the main BBC news bulletins have been transformed into vehicles that simply repeat government and corporate press releases; in a way that's far too reminiscent the kind of Propaganda Ministries seen in dystopic fiction to be at all funny

There are, however, noble exceptions to the rule. The BBC is still willing to invest resources in hard-hitting quality investigate documentaries that take over a year to produce and will only ever be shown when the Beeb gets round to it...

"Pandora: Conspiracy theories abound over BBC's London bombings film

By Henry Deedes
Thursday, 4 September 2008

The BBC has found itself under siege from all sides over its decision to make a documentary about the bombings that took place in London on 7 July, 2005.

In June, the Beeb was criticised by the victims' families after it emerged that it paid the expenses of the disgraced academic, Dr Nick Kollerstrom, to appear in a programme about the atrocity as part of the Conspiracy Files series.

Kollerstrom, who denies the Holocaust, thinks the bombers may have been "innocent patsies" set up by elements of the Israeli, British and US security agencies. Now it is the turn of the conspiracy theorists to start spitting feathers.

Kollerstrom and another of the interviewees, the journalist Tony Gosling, claim they were told the programme would be aired some time this month, only to be informed that it has now been shelved until later this year.

Being conspiracists, they naturally smell fish. Gosling says: "We have been told that it is down to legal reasons but this seems to be another tentacle of the war on terror. To be honest, I'm a bit shell-shocked about it. Some of us have put our necks on the line for this."

While the corporation says the documentary will eventually see the light of day, it insists that there was never any plan to show it this year. "It was never on the schedule so there was no set release date," says a spokesman.

"We tend to air these programmes when there is some sort of report to peg them to. It is definitely not for legal reasons."

First off, I no fan of the carefully selected 'troofers' the BBC is going to use in the show

But it strikes me as awfully strange that the BBC is sitting on material for so long that it runs a very real risk of becoming outdated before it is broadcast

So my guess, based on a little hard evidence, is that the BBC was planning to air the program round about now

Now what could have caused the delay?

The BBC spokesperson concedes that these kind of shows are normally timed to coincide with an event such as a government report, or ...a trial verdict

So, have there been any terror trial verdicts that didn't quite go the way they were supposed to recently?

Majority option for bomb plot jury - Thursday August 28 2008

The jury in the trial of eight men accused of plotting to blow up transatlantic passenger jets has been given a majority instruction...

Lordy, lordy what a surprise

Juries, eh? What a pain in the arse - it's about time someone did something to do away with them

and not forgetting the recent trial of three alleged 7/7 conspirators which also went tits up recently

that would be the trial where it was revealed that the alleged 7/7 bombers scattered their personal ID around the tube carriages and took off their rucksacks before the bombs went off

No doubt the excellent and entirely honourable BBC investigative journalists will be able to blow apart any conspiracy theories arising from that little revelation and publish their findings just as soon as the next show trial goes as planned

Confused as to how all those chilling plots fit together? You won't be after you've worked though this pile of balls

It's intermission time now - touch wood, back in a few days...

The Great British Fit Up

Well, yesterday turned out to be a bit of a bad day for the Great British Fit Up

First, a jury concluded that a local child-like-fantasist-nutter probably wasn't responsible for the perfectly executed public execution of Jill Dando

stitched up like a kipper

- the lack of any reliable evidence whatsoever probably helped

Second, another Jury decided that 20 years to Life was probably not an appropriate punishment for visiting the London Eye and Natural History Museum on a day trip

which possibly explains why the establishment is so keen to do away with jury trials, having to decide what to charge people with when they are arrested and the right of the accused to know the identity of their accusers

-

The 7/7 related trial which finished yesterday was an especially curious affair. Much of the 'evidence' presented at the start of the trial, and faithfully repeated by the mainstream media, had nothing to do with the guilt nor innocence of the accused

An example of the absolutely 'astonishing' and, yes, 'chilling' evidence released during the recent 7/7 trial

What it was was a mishmash of inconclusive material relating to 7/7 which was described as being conclusive evidence of the four alleged 7/7 bombers' guilt but was nothing of the sort

Unfortunately, because it didn't relate to the charges being heard, this mishmash wasn't challenged in court

This was a dishonest attempt to put circumstantial toss into the public domain without it being subject to any critical rigour

However, amongst all that circumstantial 7/7-related toss, one absolutely gobsmacking revelation was made by the prosecution and it deserves repeating because none of the mainstream media have asked the obvious questions and have quietly forgotten about it...

July 7 bombers 'left clues to martyrdom'

"Neil Flewitt, QC, prosecuting, said that expert Clifford Todd had examined the wreckage of the bomb sites."

“The bombers scattered identity and bank cards around the Tube carriages they targeted before placing their rucksacks on the floor and setting off the explosives inside them, jurors heard.”

Although they were damaged to some extent, they did not show the damage that would be expected if they were on the body of the bomber or in the rucksack, suggesting that in each case they had been deliberately separated by some distance from the actual explosion."
